Ellefsons' lines would sound great on this. In fact James Lomenzo tried to use his Buzzard in Megadeth but he was stopped by Mr Mustaine due to its bizarre looks lol. He had Warwick knock up a couple of these instead. These have a Megadeth heritage ;-) Don't forget the price is negotiable...within reason.
I didnt know that your like a walking rock books of facts lol GLWTS
I have never sent such a message, and don't plan to. However, there are auctions where the price is significantly out of whack. E.g. second hand items being sold for more than the new price. Items listed for double what they normally go for, or more. I just roll my eyes and move on, but I can imagine some potential buyers being frustrated that an item they would be prepared to pay a fair price for is 'available', but at an unrealistic price.
Yep +1

Why not just buy a cheap Chinese copy and "Ric" it out like a lot of other people do would sure be cheaper and easier?
I have a Spector for sale if you'd like another positive buying experience...
I would love to but I gotta sell my stuff so there will be no-incoming gear for me in the foreseeable future
It's certainly not a regular occurrence but we do get a few chancers. We mediate as best we can and have a surprisingly good success rate.
+1 there is a few Tossers on here I dealt with one and a big plus one to the mods for sorting it out but I can hand on heart say it wont put me off buying and selling here because most people on here are great to deal with
I've bought and sold on auction sites like ebay since the late 1990s. One thing that always amazes me is that when selling something occasionally someone will email me telling me that what i'm selling is too cheap or too expensive (usually the latter). It usually goes along the lines of 'i've seen the xxxx that you have for sale and i can tell that it is too expensive. I have seen these before for £xxxx but was too late to bid for it. I doubt if you will get what you want for it but if you want to sell it to me for £xxxx then please contact me'. Now don't get me wrong because i do find them amusing but why what sore of people are they that can afford to waste their time and do this?
Yep that really F--_s me off I am afraid it is a sign of the times ya know "the world owes me a living I want everything for nothing" I really hate these kind of people we all like to have a bit of a haggle but these kind of people I just cannot stand rant over lol
Interested to know what the etc are.
Only other free ones I can think of are Preloved or Free-cycle maybe they are the etc?
Tried to put up a post to sell my mint custom shop artist series USA Fender Strat but got a message saying it now costs £7. Appreciate website owners need to cover costs but thats a bit extreme when I can post on gumtree etc for nothing.
7 bangers may seem steep to you but it certainly is cheaper than ebay etc and the way I look at it myself is I would rather pay 7 quid here and help keep the site running than advertise for free and lose it
http://www.thomann.d...ntage_serie.htm one of these is a better bet and comes with alnico Wikinson pickups as standard which are around £55 to buy on there own.
+1 some of that Harley Benton stuff is great and it does not break the bank.

What tunes have you been learning today?
Thunderbird replied to gary mac's topic in General Discussion
I am still plodding along with peace sells but if I get fed up with it I play a bit of a medley of Iron Man, Jailbreak, Back in Black a bit of queen and generally mess about lol for as long as I can -
So are they some kind of scammers? is that what you mean?
-
I know but from where I come from a Jack and Danny means something else so the name puts me off for starters lol
I'm trying to post an ad for a few sets of brand new but very slightly used strings in the "Other Musically-Related Items" section and when I hit "post" it keeps telling me to state a price , despite the fact that I have already stated my incredibly reasonable price both in the heading and in the text itself. Am I doing something wrong , or is this just another example of how I am being unfairly victimised by Basschat because of my outspoken views on Victor Wooten?
Maybe you will just have to give them away for free could that be why you cant put a price? and who is this Victor bloke is there some conspiracy going on I don't know about lol

Bolt-On Neck Basses; Solve Screw Loosening Issues.
Thunderbird replied to CMR Bass's topic in Repairs and Technical
+1 on looking at the bass - either quirks with wood, screws or other construction could be to blame. Correctly installed neck screws shouldn't work loose by themselves - definately not those using threaded inserts.
All I can think of is that the neck inserts were forced into a hole hat was to small and split the wood or the hole was to big they should never come lose if fitted properly -
Having been glued to the Bear Straps page for the last couple of hours, my wife remembered my approaching birthday and put 2 and 2 together!
So you will be getting a pair of slippers or a jumper then lol
