1.
Ok £90 posted or it's getting broken for spares, shame as it's a decent bass.
I think you should make an orange one with a maple board
 2. I liked the Cog better than the Demon King but I do like the look and sound of the Lomenzo hyperdrive Hope Santa brings me one lol
 3. I have heard a similar story about wearing headphones you know the one where the lad is doing something with them on and his eyes shut then opens his eyes to find a cup of tea there lol bet he was grunting too bloody headphones hehe
 4.
Thanks for that Mr Thunderbird, not that I'm flying but thats a handy link.
No worries it should be of help to some one
 5. I love block inlays but IMO I think they will look rubbish on the bass I think it will make it too "busy" if you get what I mean as its a pretty in your face as it is, I think it looks great as it is now
 6. There is a guy on ebay who sells heavy duty shipping boxes for basses they are 12.99 each that could be a cheap solution? http://dsa.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p3984.m570.l1313.TR3.TRC0.A0.Xcardboard+guitar+box&_nkw=cardboard+guitar+box&_sacat=0&_from=R40
 7.
haha, there'll be time for that in hell. Oh, come on, make your guess!
£25/£30 ?
 8. We had nothing at school really there were a couple of old keyboards and a couple of old bashed up 6 string acoustics and a few recorders and maracas only the kids who had well off parents did any kind of proper music such as the violin or electric guitar as they bought there own instruments and did paid after school lessons.
 9.
Same seller. £50 for two vintage strap buttons. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cd7d4f981
The sad thing is some silly T--t will probably buy them lol
 10.
Out of interest which Vintage do you have?
V4 Icon series P mate but I am thinking of investing in another Vintage when funds allow
 11. Nice looking bass and seems very versatile I really like it but I would be forever playing with all the knobs and switches lol
 12.
To add to your journey, don't overlook the Vintage brand - they are a brand in their own right, not to be confused with the Vintage Modified line from Squier. They do fabulous 'copies' of the classic Precision, Jazz and Musicman models. They are extremely well made with high quality hardware (tuners, bridge, knobs) and great pickups, as well as being very cost effective. They are distributed by JHS Ltd (www.jhs.co.uk). Cheers Geoff
This I have a Vintage and it blew my Squire away and is actually a fair bit cheaper than a squire but it is also worth looking in the for sale section on here you could pick up a rather nice used bass in your price range
 13.
Cheers Thunderbird! - The pedal is on hold at the moment as I have someone interested.
No worries GLWTS
 14.
Have you got any samples? Youtube's drawing a blank!
Here you go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qv7CewcnJk&noredirect=1
 15.
Who mentioned banjos?
Squeal like a pig boy lol
 16. I think you should keep it Andy and start a Steel Panther type band
 17. Gold or B/W/B would look nice I think I am leaning more towards Gold though
 18.
That is the stuff of nightmares. Or alternatively, if it belongs to a Basschatter then it's very, very lovely.
lol
 19. Only just seen this Gary it is in fantastic condition really nice clean example mate lovely
 20.
Given that Thomann has been selling inexpensive basses under the Harley Benton name for a long while (there's a 2007 thread on here), it's surprising that there aren't more on ebay. There's one of their cheaper Jazz basses on ebay as well: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2c75545b06 It may be my eye, but isn't that a fairly high action?
Its not your eye it is a high action but in all fairness a 2 grand bass can have a high action if it has been poorly set up I am guessing that is whats up with the bass in your picture?
 21.
I love the HB stuff. I've had a six string bass from them before which was great for the £130 ish I paid for it, and my main acoustic guitar and ukulele are both HB. Phenominal quality for the money, I wouldn't be surprised if the VM Jazz-a-like is made in the same factory as the Squier...
Pretty much this +1
 22. Does to me also in fact I don't think it is the original neck but some of the Fender guys on here might know a bit better
