    Bit of a bump here anyone know of a replacement bridge like the Gotoh 201 I know there's the Hipshot or the Badass 2 but the money people want for 2nd hand ones is a bit of a p--s take and to be honest I fancied the Gotoh as it was the cheapest and is highly regarded. I never got around to trying the bridge I ordered as it got "lost" in the post

    Sid just sorted me out with some stuff what a top guy he is had a really good chat with him could I chatted for much longer but I had to shoot off , Sid really is one of the good guys on Basschat he kept me well informed as to what was going on a real pleasure to deal with. Cheers Sid

    OK thanks guys will check those things out cheers And sorry I forgot to mention it is a crate BT100 combo Also while I have the amp apart the built in tuner has never worked it does not really bother me but my tinkering curiosity has got the better on me and I would like to have a go at getting it going while the amps taken apart anyway, so any advice on where I should be looking with the tuner fault? cheers in advance

    The input jack on my amp is playing up cutting out and is crackly so I am going to order a new one now do I just order a standard size input jack? and secondly what is the best type of solder to use to make the repair? Many thanks in advance

    I like the sound of all my basses but they are all passive and for some reason I have some gas for an active bass and I dont know why I had an active a while back but was not really overkeen on the sound I guess all our tastes change in time?
