2. If Mr bagsieblue doesn't take these up can I have second dibs please?
3. Could it be this First signs of frost ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Signs_of_Frost
4. Some one on here might like this and I think it is priced fairly http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Westone-Thunder-I-A-1A-Active-Bass-UK-SELLER-/111139617981?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item19e06ffcbd
5. Really does look like a Traben Array with a different name on the headstock
6.
Do you think £550 is way off the mark? What would you value this bass at out of interest? At
Hi darren the above quote was not a dig at you mate it was a generalization of the current state of play in the market place i am sorry if you thought I was having a dig at you like I said was just in generalization as for price I don't think £500 would be a million miles off but its just unfortunate it is just not a sellers market for anyone at this time. Anyway GLWTS and back on topic
7.
Arm yourself with a decent tuner and a screw driver. Check the open string tuning and also at the twelve fret and the 12th harmonic. If you get a flat reading at the 12th fret compared to the 12th harmonic, slacken the string, then turn your adjusting screw anti clockwise. Sometime you also have to gently ease the saddle back/forward by hand as well as turning the screw. Take up the slack retune. Repeat for all strings. If you have had to make big adjustments then it may be that the action will need another tweak.
Thanks for that Gary I feel good about doing it now but be prepared for your message inbox to fill up incase I f##k it up lol.
8.
Darren, try Bumtree and Preloved. They will cost you nowt to try and there isn't quite as much competition there. I have sold three of my last 4 on there, not on here. It seems that with many basses on here the expectation is now to go daftly low. Often people wanting yours need to sell their's first which further complicates proceedings. Good luck, excellent bass, excellent price. Karl.
I agree that sometimes people go daftly low on prices but then there's the flipside of some people really taking the mick and trying to sell there bass at a ridiculously high price in the 1st place
9.
Glad you are enjoying the Jazz . Sorry my earlier reply was a bit basic given that you know how to change a bridge. The intonation is easy enough to set but can be a bit time consuming..
Hi Gary your reply was cool mate I did not put my question very well in the 1st place, So do you have any pointers for me on how to set the intonation please? thanks in advance
10. Thanks for the reply's all yes Gary it is on the Jazz I got from you I am really liking the Jazz I just thought I would do a few personal tweaks on it to get it just how I like it if you know what I mean I think it will be my main player for a while as I seem to be getting on OK with it but I am only playing for about ten minutes at a time> I am not worried about installing the bridge to the guitar I just don't know how to set the intonation I guess I did not word my question to well in the first place lol Cheers mates
11.
Now on ebay. Over 1000 views and no real interest. Hope ebay land is more dynamic.
Dunno but ebay land will sting you on fees and you might even get grief so why not reduce the price a bit on here and save yourself on evilbays fees and hassle? anyway GLWTS
12. Hi this might sound a bit silly but I have my new bridge on the way thing is I have never fitted one before would any of you guys be able to point me in the way of an idiots guide for installing a new bridge please? I have had a look round the net but did not really find anything of much use I know how to take the bridge off and put the new one on but it is the setting up of the bridge etc that worries me as I don't want to put the new bridge on and mess up my bass thanks in advance guys BTW I ordered the Stellah bridge in the end as I checked with the seller and it was the same as the tech drawings so should retrofit my bass without and trouble (famous last words eh?) thanks in advance
13. Title says it all really just check out the site and its closing.as he is retiring well good luck to him http://www.wizardpickups.co.uk/
14. I think you should name and shame the fool who did this to your bass , anyhow I hope you get it fixed mate
15.
Why is it that meat-eaters often resort to "humour" when they encounter a veg*n? Perhaps what we have to say might make you feel a bit uncomfortable so you try to deflect attention away from the real issues? Guys, the jokes are crap and pointless. Please leave it out, we've heard them all before.
I think humour is resorted to because a lot of people are fed up of hearing tree hugging sandal wearing hippies bang on about save the planet don't eat meat blah blah blah if they didn't try to force there views on people they most likely wouldn't get the piss taken out of them food for thought hmmm
16. I have a new model Epiphone Thunderbird and there's really no neck dive problem as the come from the factory now with a modified strap pin position and I think they also sound great and look great and I think the red one that's for sale on the forum could be a good buy.
17.
I know could be a bit of a gamble I may see if I can contact the seller and ask
I spoke to the seller and it is like the one in the technical drawing so I am going to order one and try it will let you know if it fits when I get it
18.
If it's like the techy drawing then it will hopefully be fine. But which one is the actual bridge that you would receive?...
I know could be a bit of a gamble I may see if I can contact the seller and ask
19.
Again, you've got the extra screws at the front of the bridge plate. Will therefore need drilling.
I did think that but if you look at the technical drawing it just shows 5 screwholes at the back?
20. Hi Guys can anyone tell me if this will fit onto a Squire VMJ without any drilling etc http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stellah-BB-02-Guitar-Fixed-Bridge/dp/B008JFTL6W Looked at this as it gets good reviews and is cheap thanks in advance
21. I think with the combination of Royal mail and ebays greediness I dont think it is worth selling anything on ebay now if your a small private seller by the time you've sold a few little things you don't really make anything much and have the hassle of wrapping and packaging then getting to the post office blah blah blah I also think the cost of postage messes up a lot of sales as sometimes when you buy second hand stuff not just on ebay but anywhere by the time you put postage on it can be cheaper to buy a new item from the shop with free P+P than a used item 9 times out of 10 bloody robbing Royal mail,
22. Ah right thanks thought I was thick lol
23. Nice bass I might be thick here but what does NOS mean?
