2.
I've got an effects power question, can you run a 9v 500ma unit from a 9v 300ma supply? Both the Zoom B3 and MS60B are 500ma but my board supply only has options for 100 or 300ma.
Why not use the zooms own power supply ? or buy individual power units there not to dear on ebay better than messing things up by underpowering them.
 3. I had this problem with mine I took it to my local luthier and he sorted it out I dunno what he did but it was so worth the 30 quid he charged it is fantastic now no buzz and a fantastic low action.
 4.
I've used the Gotoh 201 on my P bass thats for sale on here. Really good bridge and I feel, much more pleasing to look at than the Badass and a lot cheaper. They come up on Ebay fairly regularly, normally go for between £20-£30. So, how are getting on with the Jazz?
Thanks for the help guys I am getting on with the jazz OK thanks Gary I have only played it for 5 minutes here and there and it feels good but will take a bit of getting used to as I have always been a P bass man but yeah I like it thanks and as you can tell from this thread I am thinking of "pimping it up" to my personal taste but there's not really much to do I am surprised how good the Squire bass is I think all I will change is the bridge the strings and the pups at some time in the future. or I might save my penny's and get a Geddy Lee jazz bass lol but we shall see what happens.
 5. Hi mate I am not sure about the price but if this helps there are a few fretless Squire basses on ebay at the moment that look a bit Jaco-ish priced just under 200 quid
 6. Bugger I always have no money when something I really like comes up for sale booohooo
 7.
It will fit - but you would have to drill 2 new holes for the extra screws at the 'front' of the bridge. Plenty others fit with the original 5 screws, the Gotohs are good but personally I would look for a standard 5 hole fitting. Cheerz, John
Why thankyou kind sir
 8. Hi all I was wondering if this bridge would go straight onto a Squire vintage modified jazz bass http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gotoh-Japan-203-Bass-Bridge-Chrome-203B-4-/271251444228?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item3f27d89204 If not can anyone suggest any other bridges that will fit straight on and make a good upgrade please? and also when the new bridge is fitted do you have to tweak anything on the bass or do you just fit the bridge and restring it? Thanks in advance guys
 9. Just sold Mike a tug bar I bought 2 off here and only needed 1 so let Mike have the other, Mike is a really great guy and a great basschatter Mike has also made me jealous as I see he now owns a Geddy jazz bass lol but hes still a top bloke
 10.
Wizard 64's and 84's get good reviews here and at £42 are cheaper than the SD's but i don't think they are as hot output as the quarter pounders, although i could be wrong. Wizards are 11.5 K Ohms, SD quarter pounders are 13.9 and 14.6 K ohms, so deffo hotter outputs http://www.wizardpic...einfo.asp?id=43 http://www.seymourdu...om/comparetones I use the quarter pounders on my JV P/J and its certainly got more output than my jazz with fender pups, not necessarily a better tone, but hotter.
Hmmm that is food for thought any other pups worth looking at that are similar to the quarter pounders? The Wizard Hammers look interesting.
 11. I bought some Tugbars from Lozz and he posted them super fast and they are immaculate a top basschatter I would buy from Lozz again without hesitation a pleasure to do business with Thanks Paul
 12. I have one of these and they are great and don't be put off by having to use the adapter I just cut the euro plug off and wired it with a standard UK plug a good bit of kit for the money.
 13. This thread also interests myself I looked into the wizard pickups I think they are supposed to give a growly thump anyone tried these? as they seem good value at about half the price of Seymour Duncan quarter pounders.
 14.
Well spotted young Thunderbird Paul, I was just going to bag these. Hope the arm is healing and you are spanking the plank again. Mike
Hi Mike not spanking just yet lol anyway I just PM'd you
 15.
Icarus guitars are what you're thinking of there bud? Notorious they were in the late 60's
Hi Andy no it is definitely Icthus and sorry I have not put any pictures on yet my camera has decided it doesn't want to work anymore.
 16. Hi James, Are there any trades on this mate?
 17.
We could do with a pic for any kind of ID. I suspect that 'ichtus' could be just a red herring,
I will dig the camera out

 21.
My rat clone came straight to my door at £22 delivered. Here's a short comparison, ENO DR-1S Rat clone and ProCo RAT with LM308 chip. My mate->fender telecaster '52 RI->pedals->Vox Ac15 cc2 with sound crappily plucked from the air by my iPhone. You can't tell the difference if you ask me...
I think they sound about the same
 22.
Just googled it cos' I'd never heard of it. Wow, that bass is uglier than a bucket of frogs.
Agreed they look awful
