1.
+1 I can think of a lot of other basses that i'd rather spend a grand on.
I could buy 2 or 3 basses for a grand
 2. I think black looks fantastic but shows dust and white is nice but always looks dirty lol I would still go for black myself though
 3. Now that is one serious p--s take
 4.
Increasingly seeing this in the forum and I don't think it's right. Surely as its the seller who knows the preshipping condition of the instrument, is ensuring the bass is packed well and wants to make the sale it should always be their responsibility? I wonder how many online bass shops would still be going if they adverised shipping at buyers risk! Then there is the whole trust issue... 'oh the truss rod worked fine when it was with me, must have been the courier...' etc. I have had a few things damaged in courier when I have sold them and I wouldn't dream of telling the buyer to deal with it themselves! Also, any insurance claim would have to be handled by the sender, so I'm at a loss really. Surely if a buyer wants to offer postage to assist his chance of a sale, he should be responsible?
Agreed one of the most sensible things I have heard for ages When I see postage at buyers risk I tend to steer away from the item and look for another.
 5. No might be worth a try it looks very much like a Traben Personally I still prefer the look of the FJB-20 but at near £700 quid I wont be buying one how much is the HB-20 anyway?
 6. Bass is a beauty mate it shouldn't be here for long
 7.
Who knows!
I think it is here still as no one has much money and its also holiday season I think everyone is struggling to sell there gear.
 8.
All further pm's replied. About to go on holiday until next Saturday afternoon. No reception mobile/wi-fi where we go, so no bumps, no replies for a week. To the three guys who are selling stuff to buy this, any pm's will be sorted in chronological order. Cheers, Karl.
A holiday whats one of those ? lol
 9.
Swap for an Ashdown Tuner ?
You could sell me the tuner for £30 posted then buy the strings? if you fancy that drop me a PM please
 10.
Yes, thanks, agree totally. A beautiful instrument. Half tempted to keep it and put a John East pre amp in it. Whether I'd then use it more often is a difficult one to answer. More expense though and I really need to cut down on basses owned/kit not used.
I don't like you anymore lol wanted the bass before but now the new pics make me want it more damn poverty lol
 11. Was this not posted a short time ago by another user? hmmmm
 12.
Sellers are encouraged to make it clear in their ads/titles weather they'd like swaps or not. Most of the time, people invite trade options in addition to cash sales, hence a unified marketplace. It wouldn't be very easy to set up given the complicated architecture of the current setup. We might look at integrating the 'tags' system more thoroughly so you could filter items by type in the future. Cheers
Yay thanks for reading Ped and thanks for your reply I see what you mean about it being hard to do just thought I would share my thoughts on the subject
 13.
Sorry mate I didn't mean to come across all big brotherish
Your not mate what you said is bang on the money and I appreciate the input anyway any idea who I would need to ask about this mod wise? thanks As thus far people seem to think it is a good idea
 14.
I've got a CIJ P bass and I'm looking to swap it for £600 , is that allowed Only joking I totally support the sites new selling rules , Op do you need to check with a mod about this ? Great idea though
Oh yes it would totally be up to a mod or admin to make a decision like this I just posted the idea to see if it was OK with the hope of the powers that be would read it and see what they thought
 15.
I wasn't constipated btw....I needed hayfever tablets lol
Now hayfever tablets I do have quick lets seal the deal lmao

 18.
Good call. Spending money get's me earache of the missus. Recycling gets me in her good books
The same and if you have no money a swap is the only other way to try new stuff
 19. Hi I don't know if this has been done before I did search but didn't find anything I was wondering if it is possible or if it is a good idea to put a swap style shop in the Basschat market place as if people only want to swap things they can obviously put it there I know people list stuff in the normal for sale threads as for "for sale/for trade" but I thought if all swap items were under one section it would be easier to find swaps etc and it might also be better for people who only want to sell there stuff for cash in the normal for sale threads as they might not get bombarded with offers of trade they don't want? I dont know if this is a good idea or even possible but it would be good to hear what everyone else has to say
 20. That is really nice
 21. I just got a set of these Coban strings from ebay they are Coban DCG3 smooth bass strings they were only £5.19 delivered now I was not expecting much from these at that price but to my surprise the were actually pretty good I put them on a Yamaha and they installed very well wound nice and smoothly onto the winders they gave a nice bright sound when fitted and tuned and felt nice to play I think the word to use is slick so all in all I really recommend these strings now I know only time will tell how good they are but when you think you can get 5 sets of these for the price of the Ernie ball strings that I normally use there really good value if you have to change them a bit more often. Link below. I will definitely be getting 2 or 3 more sets in stock at this price and the more sets you buy the bigger discount you get. 22.
Further PM's replied. No I wont take £510 for it, including shipping to Europe! The last couple of these up have gone for around £600 so this is a decent bit cheaper already. And it's the more desirable older Made in Korea with Fralins. I would however do a straight swap for one of the following
£510 including European shipping some people really take the P--s GLWTS mate
 23.
Thanks Paul, have pm'd Pestie
No worries mate
 24.
Thank you Paul, that means we are both top blokes!
awwww thanks mate
 25.
I know, I've just been unlucky and mucked about a bit. Just wanted to point out, there's nowt wrong with the bass. No one has actually been along to look at it and not liked what they've seen. It just BC'ers saying they will have it and then not.
Well if Pestie was to buy your bass he would not mess you around hes a top bloke I can vouch for him
