I think that Steve Harris bloke all he does is gallop and write really great songs and play a bit of bass yes he's done it for 40 years and everyone thinks he's great geeez lol Only kidding he's the dogs danglies

If having the box is a deal breaker you can have my box if you by the pedal it's pretty tatty though the box that is not the pedal lol

Awesome I must admit I don't really understand the black art of compression fully but I agree it's very subtle I just go with what sounds good to me and adjust to taste

@stewblacka little off topic but in one of your pics I'm sure I saw that you were using a nux bumblebee board my question is do you think it's worth the money and how many boss sized pedals do you think I would get on it? As I'm not sure whether to get a medium or large one when funds allow 👍

I've been experimenting with my compressor pedal and my boss lmb-3 which I know technically are different but I think I prefer the lmb-3 to the straight out compressor right now but that could all change by the time I'm finished playing with settings lol

So is using the compression at the end just keeping all of the effects at near enough equal volumes or does it have a more different subtle effect 🤔

Oh I thought you had it already lol from what I'm told they are a Marmite pedal I did have the full size one when they came out but didn't really get to try it out properly as it was stolen 😢

Tried most of the regular brands I have stuck with warwick reds as they are fairly priced and last ages I did go off them a few years back as they had a batch with rubbish E strings but had no problems for the last couple of years

I really like the look of the SY-1 but as I just play at home it would be a rather expensive fun toy
