Hi all sorry if I have posted this elsewhere and please move it if appropriate My 8 year old is learning guitar he is left handed but is learning to play right handed on a right handed guitar and I am thinking that some lighter gauge strings may be of benefit to him as he if finding it a bit hard to fret the notes I am not sure what strings are on his guitar now but they are a bit pants so can someone advise on strings and maybe put a link up to some if possible his guitar is a 3/4 size cheapo student classical guitar and it looks as though the strings are of the tie on variety but I really have no clue what to get many thanks in advance all

I would assume that the transformer is faulty then but I'm no expert I'm sure it would be an easy fix for some one amp savvy sorry I can't really be of much help
-
Oooo do tell 👍

Transformer on its way out or bad power have you tried disconnecting every thing and just powering the amp up with nothing else plugged in or switched on in the room

That's terrible I don't think a proper luthier would pass that off I'd take it back mate it looks like it's been done with a dremel as the material is marked and looks rough on the edges almost like melted but it is hard to tell just from the picture

In all fairness its johngh's 1200 quid so if he's not happy it's up to him if he wants to send it back

I would say an EQ pedal I always thought they were a little pointless but I'm a convert now Next ones not really a pedal it's the overdrive circuit on my amp I've tried lots of drive pedals but turns out I had what I wanted all along on my amp but still will be experimenting with other drives lol

I'd like another digitech bad monkey but the only ones I have seen are the ones sitting on ebay for ages priced between 45 to 60 pounds which I'm not prepared to pay and I guess no one else is or they would of sold by now lol Also keeping my eye out for a cheap behringer bod400 for experimental purposes Well I have a bad monkey now that was quick lol

Would a compressor pedal do that if you whacked the sustain up or maybe a used boss cs3 would do it
