  6. I also like rotosound Rb45 strings but they have really shot up in price was paying about a tenner a set maybe 18 months ago and they are about 16 quid a set now Would like to say if the op has any questions about strings is probably best to talk to dadarrio as there customer service is awesome
  7. Also using the reds as they are good value and I like the feel of them and sound I did stop using them a few years back as there was a problem with dead E strings but that's all sorted now I have flats on a couple of basses but find I like the sound of rounds a little bit more
  8. Wow that's awesome out of my price range and way beyond my playing skill range lol glwts fella

  15. I think it is everything in general I know p basses are a go to for most and I do like the sound of lots of records where p basses are used funnily enough I like active basses with humbuckers but like you said it's all very personal
  16. I see lovey thanks for that 👍
  17. Silly question but how do you tell flats are on the way out I thought they lasted for ever just curious as I am trying flat wounds at present Sorry for the thread derail

  20. Yes pretty much all the fancy wood kind of things no particular maker just coffee tables in general lol
  21. Some great replies here I'm not keen on coffee table basses either but appreciate the skills used to make them Just thought of another I like some metal style basses and they are normally black I don't mind black basses but it's boring when lots of basses you fancy are always black lol And don't get me started on burst and tort lol
  22. If it was me I'd leave it powered off overnight and just use an insulated screwdriver to remove the cover but I'm no amp expert
  23. Rotosound rb45 strings would be just the job imo
  24. At the risk of being stoned to death I have decided that in my opinion I find Precision and Jazz basses really boring I'm not saying that I think they are rubbish just boring who agrees and what basses do you guys think are boring
