1.
won't be the tube, power supply every time. worst case is that someone has plugged a power supply in with a higher voltage than 12VDC and damaged the voltage doubler circuit and caused to to change frequency to something you can hear, seen that before.
Yay the man himself thanks for the answer Dave so what do you think my best course of action should be thanks in advance and also do you know how much this will cost to fix as I might contact the guy I bought the unit from to see what he says Cheers
2. Well new tube ordered will update the thread when I fit it
3. Its a great pedal well worth the money IMO
4. Bugger the tube in it gives off a faint dim blueish almost purply light is that normal spose I will have to fork out for a new tube to try that then Cheers
5. I guys need a bit of help please I recently bought one of the above pedals off of the forum used but I am having problems with the noise it makes I have only just started to use it as I was waiting for the correct 12V power supply to arrive, the problem I am having is that on most settings I get a low to moderate like white noise when using it and when I use the boost feature I get like a high pitched whistle so is not really very usable I have tried it in my effects loop in front of the amp and with no other pedals and still get the same results I have used the pad knob on the back of the unit but it really has not helped and I have also run the unit in conjunction with a Boss NS2 which really helps but is not curing the problem. I know valve pedals do generate a bit of noise but never had this before and all my other pedals work a treat also there is no electrical interference coming from anything else so I am a bit stumped any ideas fellas? thanks
6. I think a blend would be great and I think a nice easy to use pad switch for easy use of active/passive basses would be cool
7. I thought that was great I didn't really enjoy the vocals it seemed like the singer was really struggling but every thing else was lovely and tight and the sound was really good
8. I thought it was great apart from the vocals..sorry

15.
I've already agreed with the owner to pick this up next weekend.
Yay did you buy it rich
16.
I know Howard reasonably well and see him now and then. Whenever one of these threads comes up some people drag up old stuff from a couple of years ago when Howard was having a bad time. Without taking sides (and I am aware that some people have reasons to feel miffed) I am fed up with getting drawn into those discussions. If anyone is genuinely interested in contacting him, I always pass on his contact details, and I am happy to act as a go-between if people want to post stuff to him and get it back again - but my offers of assistance have maybe been misconstrued. I am not responsible for Howard's behaviour!
Theres no need to be drawn in just dont comment btw never used the bass doc so have nothing to say either way
17. Thanks for the offer mate but I am afraid it is outgoing only for me atm space is at a bit of a premium here

21. I just sold Jason a pedal it was a really easy and hassle free deal I would deal with Jason anytime he is a credit to this community
22. Yes speak to our very own kiogan he will sort you out with a nice solderless loom for a great price and it is very easy to put the old loom back in if ever needed I think taking the old ones out while they are still in working condition is a good idea then if you sell the bass you can put the old loom back in so it's all original and working
