1. If you're looking for an analog octaver, I really don't think the OC-2 can be beaten for the price. OC-3 is sh*te, EHX Octave Multiplexer is another good one, but I don't think it has the mojo the OC-2 does.
  2.
j retro now £100 bargin!!!
Argh!!! Would be really interested in this for my fretless project, unfortunately am a bit short of cash. Bump for a great pre at a great price!
  3.
I've just come back from Zavvi Oxford Street and the basement is barricaded off with a notice saying Sound Control no longer trades from these premises. The basement itself has some display stands but looks basically gutted.
Wow! It's weird to think I probably walked past you! I can get to Zavvi from my office in about 60 seconds
  4. Oh I agree most definitely, and with the way this thing looks you should have no trouble selling what so ever. Just wanted to assure you that if you couldn't sell it whole, you'd have a buyer for the neck Good luck with the sale.
  5.
They're not much different in price are they? I would assume the "emulation" is as exact as they come?
The OC-2 second hand will set up back at the most £40. I know I'd rather have the real thing than a copy...It just doesn't have the Mojo.
  6. If by any chance you end up splitting the bass and selling it in pieces, I would love to have the neck off you Cheers.

If you would like to sell, please PM me
  8.
I have an OC-2 and I love it, and I tried an OC-3 and didn't like it. However, someone told me once that the OC-3 has an OC-2 emulation mode. Is this right? Doesn't it work?
That's correct. But why pay for an emulation when you can get the real thing cheap as chips?
  9. That's the thing - I only get 2 days pay this week, so I wouldn't have the full amount till next friday - And Perry is trying to shift it before then, so may as well see if he gets any offers first
  10.
it's almost painful watching this sit here @ £675 with no cash buyers trying to rip Perry's arm off... nicest stingray I've ever seen?...quite probably, yes.
Exactly. Nicest Stingray IMO too. Was so gutted that I couldn't get it after all.
  11. Just want to say, Perry is a nice, genuine bloke, and I would have no hesitation in dealing with him what so ever. I've been to play this bass and it seriously does play as well as it looks, and sounds the absolute b*ll*cks. If I'd been able to scrape the cash together in time, this would have come home with me yesterday. Seriously gutted about it!! So, here's a free bump, and if its still around when I've got the cash, I'll nab it.
  12.
Any ideas on a good squelchy filter al la Bootsy/ 70's disco style.....cheap!, in a single pedal form, not multi FX, a tall order i know, but its gotta be cheap i cant afford much at all!
Look for a used Maxon AF-9! It's the closest thing I've found to an original Mutron III. I'm considering getting one as a back up for my Mutron. It's awesome!!
  13.
Ooh! VERY nice... C'est le sex!
You have way too many basses!!! If you wanna shift a couple for free.... Back on topic: What a blinding looking bass!! Good luck with the sale!
  14.
I find my EHX micro synth to be quite useful when used sparingly!! for example ill only whack it on when theres a drum fill and i want a nice bbwwwwaaaaaarrrrrrrp-ching! over it Id like to try the prunes and custard though as the ehx dosnt do fuzzy synth very well. the filters are immense but uts a shame!
I absolutely love the Prunes and Custard...I still regret selling mine. I will have one again, some day!

    New EHX pedals!
the metaphor interests me most, i imagine the bass muff will just be like the black russian, and the other one will be a simpler version of the metaphor
I think the Bass Big Muff will be more of a Green sovtek muff, judging by the graphics.
  16.
I bought one of the Behringer BSY600 Bass Synthesisers, and it's lots of fun, but I can't actually find a use for it!! I've tried rolling back the volume of the effect in comparison with the dry so it's less in your face, but it still sounds like a space invaders game I think I may have wanted a envelope filter, I'm going for the bass sound from the jamiroqui track from Godzilla, which is dirty but has something else on it.....
That's a synth effect alright...But it's more of a Fuzzy synth than the synth you will find on the Behringer unit. I find the Crowther Prunes and Custard pedal gets very close to the Deeper Underground sound.
  17.
All good, Bought a Tonefactor 442 pedal, item as described, good communication, easy to deal with. Nice guy too. recommended!
Bought the Jamerson "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" book from Chris. Nice, quick transaction. What a nice bloke. Don't hesitate to deal with him at all - He'll treat ya good Cheers again mate James
  18.
Pickenbacker? Awesome.
Picken-Axer
  19. I use an EA iAmp 600 with a MarkBass 4x10+1x15....There's no way I'm going back to a combo
  20.
How did I not see this! Damn
It's mine, all mine!! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!
  21.
Hi all. If anyone is interested I am selling an 89 black Kubicki ex factor. If anyone wants any details, check it out on ebay. Starting bid £400.
You seem to only have registered to flog your gear. At least introduce yourself. I don't like to be "that guy" but I feel it's appauling that people just create an account to flog their gear, without making any effort to engage/support/contribute to the community.
  22.
same as, EA were extremely helpfull. and mines 2nd hand too
+1. When I blew up my iAmp 600, Gary at EA was very helpful in sourcing the replacement parts, and even offered to speak with my local tech about how to fix it! Great guys, and great products...No complaints from me.
  23. Thanks for the info guys I think I will go for a good hard ebony/maple neck. Still not sure pre-amp wise, but I figure that will be the last thing I put in anyway, so that will give me time to think. As it's a fretless J, I'm wondering if I should have a P pickup routed in, between the Jazz pickups, and some kind of switch so I could have fretless P and fretless J tones It's a tempting idea, but then I'd have no excuse to buy/put together a fretless P
  24. Would it be possible to collect it, rather than delivery? If so, let me know when you're out
  25. Hmm, you seem to be missing a P bass... Haha, jokes aside - what a fantastic collection!!
