1. Cheers mate! Another monday bump...
2. Tha is absolutely stunning! Looks like a lovely bass.
3. I really would've taken this if I hadn't just bought OBBM's DJ5! Damn it
4. Hi, yup I believe you bought it for £120. Great fuzz pedal - well worth the cash!! Steve is also a great guy to deal with, so don't hesitate to snap this up if you're looking for an awesome fuzz.

Dave sold me a killer bass, and makes a killer cup o' tea Cheers Dave for a very positive transaction. Couldn't be happier!! (not unless you'd chucked in the Duck Dunn as well - but that's being rather optimistic!! )
6. I don't mind at all I would pick this up if I had the cash!!
7.
I haven't been able to try a WH-1, have you tried an XP-100 Higgie? I think it has a nice long sweep range and a much nicer tone than the WH-4.
I havent tried it, and I have heard good things about it. It also has the 5th^/Oct^ setting, for those who don't want to shell out for the Bass Whammy. But I;ve heard stories of the Bass overdriving the unit, as it has an input gain knob that can be very fiddly to tweak. I wanted no nonsense operation so I sprang for the WH-1. Just plug in, choose your setting, and sweep away
8.
just out of interest, sound/build quality wise, what would be the advantages of buying this over a brand new fender japan/highway 1 precision?
My dad has a JV Precision and used to haver a JV Jazz. They are absolutely superb basses - I played the precision at a Jam night last night through my dad's Markbass LMII and 2 MB 1x15s....Punch City.
9. Another bump...Really suprised this hasn't gone yet.
10. I really didn't like the EX-7 - It didn't seem to track too badly, but A) I tried it with guitar, and B ) the feel of the treadle under your foot really wasn't the best. The WH-4 feels better, but the sweep range is really limited. The WH-1 has the largest sweep range of the lot, tracks superbly, and ultimately, just sounds a bit warmer and less cold and digital (despite being a digital pedal itself). If you're after a Whammy, and want the best performance from it, I really would recommend saving up the pennies for an original. It's soooo much smaller than the re-issue too. My face actually did this the first time I saw one in real life:
11.
I am a little bit confused... Digitech Whammy £121 Digitech Expression Factory (EX-7) £100 Digitech RP350 £119 I understand that the Digitech Whammy can do a little bit more of the EX-7 and RP350 in terms of intervals but there is no comparison between the Whammy and the other two regarding the other functionalities. RP350 is for guitar but if it works like the other Digitech multi-fx units, as far as the cab/amp models are switched off, it works great with bass. Apart from the Whammy included in the RP350 there are reverbs, modulations, delays… The distortion functions of the EX-7 can be switched off leaving a pedal with Whammy + other 6 expression-pedal functions. I am wondering… what’s the point on buying the Whammy when with the same money (or less) I can have much more? Am I missing something?
The Whammy has about 20 Pitch shifting and Harmony functions? The EX-7 only has the 2 octave sweep mode IIRC, and the RP350 surely won't have all the features of the Whammy either. Not to mention it's probably more sturdy than the RP350 too. Edit: Just thought I would say, I've owned the WH-4, I tried the EX-7 in the shop, and I currently own a WH-1, which as Ant says, is indeed King.
12. Will take pics of my gear over the weekend, as there will be a new acquisition to the family
13. We must have similar tastes! I have an iAmp 600 too, and was thinking of trying to get something that coloured my sound a bit more! (Funnily enough I was also thinking of the Aguilar AG500!) Have a bump for a great Amp, and at a great price too! This amp is well worth your money folks!!
14. Cheers Joe. This pedal really does what it says on the tin - It basically IS a Mu-Tron III after all!
15.
Coolhiggie thats what i thought i will try your suggestion as well thanks.
Not a problem
16.
higgie i just dug out that looper pedal you sold me ages ago and with a quick bit of soldering, its working again woooop
Nice one Kev!
17. Red Onion can most certainly make you one. It's just an A/B Box and a TB loop in one pedal. I would recommend www.loop-master.com though as the prices are great and so are the products.
18. So, up for sale is a Guyatone slow volume. Bought this a few weeks ago from a member on here, and while it's a cool effect, I just don't find myself using it as much as I should for it to be taking up space on my board. Plus, I have a volume pedal so if I want volume swells I will just use that. Yours for exactly the same as I paid, £35 including postage. Includes box, and manual, and is in awesome (if not MINT) condition. Cheers
19. Pay for shipping, and that could very well be a possibility
20. There is clone of the Boss Slow Gear called the Guyatone SV-2 Slow Volume. I have one that I might sell, as I don't use it that much. If you're interested, PM me!
21. Good idea. I have a really crap recording setup, but I'll give it a go! Cheers
22. Bump for price drop. £150 shipped.
23. My Bass teacher has a Squier JV Jazz bass that used to belong to Jack Bruce. It is the nicest Jazz bass I have ever played. It's fiesta red with a tort guard. It's by no means perfect, little nicks and dings etc, but there is just something magic about it I have a feeling that the spirit of Jack Bruce is trapped inside the pickups
