1. Glad you're happy with it mate! It's a fantastic amp and as I said, I wouldn't have sold it in an ideal world! The Darkglass head just seems to fit more with what I need at the moment, have the overdrive channel built in etc. As mentioned here, Bergantino are a particularly good match for it cab-wise, the AE410 and TH500 has been my main gigging rig for quite a while. Also had epic results with my Epifani UL410. If I can give you one piece of advice, play around with the Drive control. It's not just for dialing in dirt. As you start turning it up, it starts to make the Gain and EQ section interact with each other a little differently than when it was off/on a lower setting. So once you turn it up a bit, have a fiddle with the Gain and EQ. You can get some really awesome tones that way.
2. FS post updated with possible trade options!
3. Just to add fuel to the flames.. I always thought it sounded like a Flanger! But if you did want to try a Vintage Boss CE-1, I've got one for sale….
4. The LS-2 is one of the best things you can buy. It's like a Swiss Army Pedal! I would advise anyone to have one in their arsenal.
5. My pleasure - Always great to put a face to the (User)name! Hope you enjoy it mate - It's a cracking little amp.
6. Tonehammer Sold!
7. El bumpo
8. I don't know, mine seems to work! I regularly use it with just one bass straight into the return of A, and then switch to B to act as a mute! If you were using it with batteries I could definitely see a problem? Using it with a power supply seems to be fine. As it's one of those Boss Pedals that can distribute power from a second jack, maybe it's always on once you connect a power supply to it?
9. That will work perfectly, as the LS-2 works via the Return Jacks. I use mine as an A/B switch for 2 basses simply by plugging nothing into the input, and a Bass into each return. Set it to A<->B and you have a 2 channel instrument selector with variable gain to match the output levels between basses. Then just take the normal output to the next pedal as normal. Works a treat! You wouldn't need anything plugged into the Send of B.
10. First post updated. Pics available here: http://imgur.com/a/7nUk4
11.
My DB750 is the best amp I've ever owned or played by some margin. I'd expect this to fly out the door.
That is my feeling too. I don't know why I'm selling it really. Just as I said in the original post, a lot of the gigs I do make using it unfeasible, and there's no point in having it sitting around not being used, when I could do with the cash! It'll be a shame to see it go, and I daresay I'll end up with another one in the future. Pics being uploaded as I type this….
12. Ok I never thought I'd do this but…The time has come to sell my pride and joy - The mighty DB750. It's in great condition, been stored in a Chocolate Thunder head case and the official Aguilar padded cover all of its life. It's immensely powerful, and simply the most glorious tone comes out, no matter what bass you put in. It's built to withstand a bomb blast, and you don't have to look very far to find someone singing its praises. I used it for a fair few gigs, but it has only been out once in the last 6 years, due to working abroad and on cruise ships. It's a bit of a beast weight-wise, and so collection would be preferred - I'm based in North East London, would be prepared to meet somewhere within reason for free, or somewhere slightly less reasonable for fuel costs. [s]£1200[/s] £1175 collected I'd also be up for some kind of trade, as long as I get some cash too. A REDDI would be great, but anything considered!
13. These basses are incredible. I've been using one (with a Nordstrand pickup) on tour for the last 5 months and it's been great! It's played outside in the snow in -17C and inside in places so hot and cramped that sweat is literally dripping from the ceiling, and it's never let me down. It plays really nicely, and with the new pickup it really sounds the business! (And that's coming from someone with a Sadowsky and a couple of custom Shukers too). I cannot recommend these basses highly enough!
14. I use my 5 string Shuker P with flats into a Darkglass VMT and in my opinion it sounds glorious!
15. Already got one and I still want it at this price! Serious bargain here folks.
16. No there isn't mate!
17. Long overdue bump!
18. Picked it up yesterday and its awesome! Well chuffed.
19.
I used a Chevin A3000 (bridged at 3Kw into 8 ohms) into and Eden 410xlt when I was younger. Obv I never turned it up full, but the headroom, low frequency extension and general grunt was a thing of joy. What a machine.
A1000 here. With the Avalon U5 into either an Epifani UL410 or Berg AE410. Sounds amazing!
20. I've always interpreted it as somewhere between staccato and full value. You can usually 'feel' where the note should end, to give the next note it's full attack.
21. Got a Nordstrand in mine. The thing sounds great!!
22. Looks like this one is coming home with me folks!
23. Fuzzrocious SOLD
24. Depends on the user I guess! It's never been a problem for me.
