1. Met Richard today in London to buy his Strat. Communication was excellent, goods as described, sale went without a hitch! Cheers pal James
2. Small update from me!

Quasar DLX here. Fantastic phaser with LOTS of features, but quite pricey. Worth it though if you're looking for that kind of thing.

Would anyone here be up for building me an A/B box with a tuner mute? I have a specific orientation in mind that no one else seems to make, and I don't have the time or equipment for building pedals any more! Nothing special, just 2 switches, an LED for each channel and the tuner mute, doesn't need any fancy graphics or anything...PM me with a quote! Cheers
5. Thanks all! Off on the ship again tomorrow for 5 months, so will be putting her through her paces pretty solidly! I'm sure she'll hold up fine!
6. Played it tonight at a jam night and it absolutely sings. Absolutely chuffed!
7. Cheers man...really can't wait to use this beast live!
8. Yep, absolutely over the moon with it
9. Yeah going back on wednesday pal! When are you back on there?
10. It's here, and it's everything I dreamed it would be! Feels amazing to play. The flats on it are D'Addario chromes I think, and they're obviously brand new so still sound quite bright. Once they get worn in it will be even better! Here's a quick couple clips I knocked up just now. The playing isn't the best - no metronome etc, just aimlessly noodling! DI'd from my Tonehammer 500 amp pre-eq, nothing added in Logic, literally as flat as possible. https://soundcloud.com/higgie142/sets/shuker-p5-clips
11. Not very long at all! My first Shuker (the Jazz 5) took just over a year. Jon quoted me 6-8 months on this one and has come in right at about 6 months from when he started building it, following a few weeks of throwing emails back and forth deciding on specs. The neck has exactly the same dimensions as my Jazz 5 too, so should feel exactly the same to play...Just with a big, round, and thumpy P Bass tone!
12. Well I'm off on the ship again for 5 months on wednesday, with a lot of stuff to do before I go, so might not get a chance to do soundclips etc, but I'll try! And thanks yeah it is a great colour. I just love Pino's Precision so thought a 5 string version with flats would be exactly what I wanted, er... needed.
13. Yep! Got her strung with flats, can't wait to get my hands on it!
14. Just received these pictures last night of my Precision 5 String that Jon Shuker has been building me. It arrives tomorrow, and to say I am dribbling with anticipation is an understatement!
15. Trade deal sorted. This one is gone folks!
16. £890 incl. shipping bump!
17. Any trades pal?
18.
This is a bargain for a valenti! I played on one recently and couldn't put it down!
I hate it when they use superglue instead of lacquer!
19. Been a while since I posted a board in this thread! Here is my new board: The Input Jack goes straight into the Sadowsky Preamp, and the Output comes from the Micro Thumpinator underneath the board, with the jack sitting nicely in the hole on the back of the PT's frame. The other hole is for the right angled Fig 8 Lead for the Power Supply, which will be plugged in permanently, and just have the cable coiled on top of the board: Anyone wondering what the gap on the left is for, it's for the AirTurn footswitch we use in our band to turn pages in forScore on our iPads. I haven't velcro'd it down as the footswitch belongs to the MD, so my plan is to use some spray adhesive, and attach some anti-slip mat to the slats (or just whole bottom corner I haven't decided yet). I've tried it without the adhesive and it actually doesn't budge at all, but I'd rather have the anti-slip stuff attached to the board permanently so I can just put the footswitch on it and off I go! Oh and almost forgot, signal chain is as follows! Sadowsky Preamp/DI (Turbo Tuner on the Tuner out)>Darkglass VMT>Aguilar TLC>Aguilar Octamizer>IE Oxide>Subdecay Prometheus>SFX Micro Thumpinator
20. Bump to include shipping in the price.
21. Couple more pictures of the condition of the bass.
22. Bump - got some pictures of the knocks and dents coming your way soon! Cheers

SOLD!

That OC-2 available?
24.
I really like the look of that and you're not too far from me either. I wouldn't be bothered about the paisley plate, but I would want the screws with the original and some more detail/photos of any wear and tear. Original owner? Fret wear? Action? Truss rod movement? Mark me as interested pending the above :-)
I can take some more photos for you today. I'm not the original owner, I got her in a trade on here about 5 years ago. Frets are in great condition, plenty of life left in them. Action is perfect, can get a nice low action no problem! Truss rod is perfect too, has the wheel at the end of the neck for easy adjustments!
I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I think we've found a bass that looks good with a black pearl scratchplate!
Haha very kind of you to say so! I think the black pearl looks ace on it too. I only bought the silver paisley guard because the bass was already an outrageous colour, why not just make it absolutely ridiculous! Haha.
