1. Just uploaded this to YouTube so thought I'd share it with you guys - Haven't done a video in quite a while! My EBMM Musicman Stingray 5 strung with D'Addario XL Nickels straight into my PJB Bass Buddy, Line Out into Lexicon Alpha Interface and then recorded in Logic. Touch of compression and EQ added, just to get a better mix with the track. As usual all comments and criticisms welcome Cheers
2. I just got my Oxide this week and after playing it through my rig for the first time today I am mightily impressed. Next mission, (should the Oxide choose to accept it ) is band practice on saturday. Will report back with band mix experience (2 guitars, drums, vox) ASAP!
3. Yeah after playing yours I just thought, if this guy is capable of making a 6 string fanned fret as comfortable as this, he's the guy to build me a 5 string J Obviously they are worlds apart, but everything of his I have seen/played has been absolutely stunning.
4. B*LLOCKS I would have had these 2nd in line in case it falls through!
5.
You sir, are hilarious
Hilarious, how? You think I'm here to amuse you? /Goodfellas Sorry about that, had a bit of a Joe Pesci moment Blind Pilot I will be sending you a PM in the next few mins.
6. Man I would love that GigRig. At this price it won't last long. Shame I haven't got the cash or i'd have taken it myself. Wanna trade for my Fender/AllParts Jazz? Great guy to deal with too folks!
7. Can't believe no one wants a nice jazz at a ridiculous price bump.
8. Ok, got this a few months ago intending to fit this to my Fender Jazz body, but the Bass is currently up for sale as I need the money and I never got round to fitting this. It's literally brand new, never been drilled, and comes with the mounting kit. These are £260 + Shipping and Import duty from the States, so save yourself a few bob on a brand new one - £185 + shipping. *SOLD* Cheers And one with the Bass I was going to put it on:
9. Here's a link to the original sale thread with pic: http://basschat.co.u...6-guyatone-br2/ Literally just received this about 20 minutes ago. Bought on a whim, and while it's a very cool sounding pedal, between all my other filters (Subdecay Prometheus, Aguilar Filter Twin, Mutron III, DOD FX25 etc) I can already nail most of these tones. It's also worth mentioning that Justin Chancellor from Tool has one of these on his board, and it sounds great with Fuzz. Reminds me of Flea's filter sound on his instructional DVD at certain settings too. It's in perfect condition, and comes in it's original box, with all documentation. Looking to get back what I paid, so £50 incl. postage. *SOLD*
10. Thanks guys! I can't wait! I'll get Jon to keep me updated with pics and will post them up here
11. Yeah I got another one off the back of the first one, so I figured why not?
12. Finally caved. I love my 4 string Shuker Jazz so much, that I've sorted out a 5 string version to be built. I've asked Jon to keep everything as close as possible to the 4 string, just with the obvious adjustments that need to be made for the extra string. Here's the specs: 5 string J bass classic 34" scale 21 frets 45 mm nut width 18mm string spacing 20.5mm neck depth at 1st fret 22,5mm at 12th maple neck maple board two way truss rod carbon fibre reinforcement medium frets black f/board dots (standard layout) black 2mm side dots satin neck lacquer (vintage tint) bone nut Normal wind tuners - gotoh alder body (traditional shape) polyester basecoat Olympic White colour coat villex 5 string J pickups vol, balance, mid, treble cut Brown Tortoiseshell pickguard Chrome control plate with black knobs chrome hardware gotoh 5 string bridge Always wanted a nice 5 string Jazz (had a couple of DJ5's and while they were great instruments, they just didn't work for me) and so I reasoned the best thing to do would be to get the builder of the 4 string Jazz I have that I love so much to build me a 5 string version! I struggled to decide on the finish/pickguard combo, but I think white/tort will go nicely with the maple fingerboard All going to plan this should be underway in the next couple of months!
13. Glad to see you're still using the Baby Quasar Sk8
