1. Pics added bump. Would also be willing to split if there's enough interest in the bits!
2. Could really do with some cash. £500 shipped. £650 with brand new Moses graphite neck and mounting kit, never been drilled.
3. This is my perfect gig! But unfortunately I am away on a Cruise liner until September
4. I'd love this. If only I wasn't skint...May be in touch in a couple weeks if it's still here! Cheers James
5.
Ahh thats how it works is it-fuzz before filter. I'll be sure to try that out later. thank's for that nice vids on you tube btw.
No probs I like to use Fuzz before Filter, but there's no "correct" way to do it! It's up to you to see what sounds best. Thanks for the compliment on my videos too
Still liking my FT-2! What's the thoughts on using this with a fuzz? Filter <-- Fuzz or Fuzz <-- Filter?
I think this particular Filter sounds great with a Fuzz in front of it, but again, it's all down to experimentation and seeing what works best for you!
6. Very cool Jake. As Shep said, well thought out, practical, and tidy. Good show old chap
7.
Similarly to Higgie's case, this is the one that started it all for me (Stingray-wise): not merely the brother, but the TWIN of Higgie's bass!!! Same year, same colour, same birdseye, same clear pickguard.....
Wow! Cool that we both have the same bass virtually. What's the Serial No. on yours? Just wondering how close together they were built! I've also got a matching Fretless but with 3 band EQ and unlined Pau Ferro board - The serial numbers are literally only 300 odd apart!
8. I like a Fuzz before my filters. I find Big Muffs seem to work pretty well for synthy vibes. But basically, no, you don't need any certain fuzz pedals. Pedals like the 3Leaf GR/Meatball etc that have an effects loop basically do so, so that your clean signal will be "triggering" the filter, without your dynamics being destroyed by effects such as Fuzz etc. The Chunk pedals use a similar system, but they can just be linked with a cable, as they were designed together, to work together. It's a pretty cool idea, and can be used for other purposes, like sending a mic'd kick drum into the input of the pedal, and plugging your bass into the return of the loop, so your bass will only be filtered when the kick drum triggers the filter.
9. My first Stingray was Trans Orange and it was gorgeous. I am therefore voting for Orange.
10. I've recently turned onto D'Addario after using DR strings for quite some time and they are absolutely brilliant. I know a few Techs/Luthiers who won't use any other strings. Probably the most "Consistent" strings I've used. Not had a bad set/string at all. Although to be fair to DR, when I had a duff string they sent me a single free of charge, and because it took so long to turn up, they actually sent me another full set, which I thought was fantastic of them.
11. Andy is a gent to deal with - Just bought an Incubus transcription book from him. It arrived promptly, exactly as described, and the communication was brilliant. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Thanks mate James
12. Bob bought my Stingray from me - We discussed a part ex deal, and virtually as soon as I'd made my mind up, the cash was with me, and the pedal turned up the next day. He's an absolute blinder to deal with folks, so don't hesitate to deal with him. Cheers mate, hope you enjoy the Bass! James
13. John lives on the same street as me, and I can totally vouch for him being an absolute diamond. No worries here folks - John is the real deal!

15.
I am not sure how to articulate this but, when reading 16th notes, I find that thinking about the bar as two bars of 8th notes helps. For me, doing this means stuff that is hard to read becomes much easier. It kind of means that the learning you have done to allow you to cope with 8th notes is transferrable almost instantly. Does that make sense?
That's a great way of looking at it. And I think you explained it rather eloquently!
16. Manu bought some straps off me, and was a total gentleman through out. Communication was great also. Highly recommended! Thanks Manu James
17. I suffer from the opposite - Rhythms I find pretty straightforward, but it's reading the notes that lets me down. Sorry to hijack your thread, but any advice from you readers out there?
18. No wonder it went. Brilliant price. That's A LOT of pedally goodness for the money
19. Here is the bass that made me sell my 1999 Teal SR4. 1989 (birth year - woohoo!) Stingray 4 - Trans red, clear pickguard, 2EQ, stunningly beautiful birdseye maple neck and fingerboard, plus Hipshot Detuner and Dunlop Straplocks added by me:
20. Here for sale are my Dad's Markbass Cabs. In decent overall condition having been gigged fairly regularly - The odd scuff mark but no tears or anything serious. These cabs are light as a feather and sound great, but Dad want's a change so here they are up for sale: £350 each or £650 for both. Would prefer bank transfer, or cash on collection. Courier can be arranged at buyers expense, but would prefer collection from Chingford, East London. Cheers
