1. Bought a Comfort Strapp from Alex - Arrived quickly and safely, and great communication too. Highly recommended! Cheers mate James
2. Price Drop bump. £690 posted, in Gator Lightweight Bass Case.
3.
trade? for a lighwave VL4?
Sorry mate, really need to sell at the moment.
4. I loved mine. But I wasn't using it and I could get almost double what I paid for it so I shifted it. If I could've afforded to keep it, I would have!
5.
So here's my board to date, I reckon this is how it's likely going to stay for a while but am now thinking of getting an LS2 or similar (any recommendations/suggestions/feedback from you guys would be appreciated), once I'm definitely happy with it I'm planning on replacing the existing patch leads with George L's and then tidying the underside cabling of the board - I'll probably move the Diago Powerstation back underneath as well - actually that's a point worth mentioning - I previously had (no laughing at the back!) a Soundlab Power Supply and whilst it coped with powering my pedals it was horrifically noisey even at rest!? - the Diago seems infinitely better so am well pleased with that. So the latest addition being the Deep Impact, am I right in thinking you can add an expression pedal to this? Or a footswitch to toggle the sounds? Again, any feedback would be gratefully received. Cheers, Pete
You can connect a momentary foot switch to the Deep Impact to scroll through the presets in he opposite direction. I would recommend the Loop Master Mini Tap Tempo for this as its tiny. I used to use one when I had a Deep Impact and it worked really well.
6. Got my Subdecay Quasar DLX in the post yesterday - Awesome pedal. I knew it was a keeper as soon as I plugged it in, so I thought I'd better make it in PhotoShop for my Virtual Board project thingy. Enjoy! 7. Never used the Emma unit unfortunately. But good job on scoring an FT-2! How do you like it so far?
8. The best I could do would be £730 with the MM Hardcase and postage. Where are you based? Cheers
9. Ok, so I have 3 Short comfort Strapps that I'd like to trade for long ones, or will sell for £20 each inc. P+P. Buy 2 or all 3 and we can work out a deal! All in good condition, although they are used, and not new. Brand new unopened 5 string set of Green Neon DR strings, 45-125. £33 incl. P+P, or Trade for DR/D'Addario 5 string sets. Looking for Roundwounds, medium guage. I can take pics of the straps if required, although they just look like normal Comfort Strapps. Cheers
10.
That was fast
That's what she said
11. Cheers mate, that'd be helpful. I think you may be right about the Rays. Why is it whenever I go to sell something it's not in favour any more
12. Why has this not sold? A little while ago every Teal Stingray in sight was getting snapped up. I'm pretty sure my asking price is fair?
13. I use a Fuzz (Swollen Pickle Clone) and a Filter (Subdecay Proteus) set with the depth all the way down, so the frequency knob acts like a wah pedal. I leave it open so it accentuates the hi-mid/treble end of the spectrum and blend that whole thing with my clean signal. Sounds the nuts!
14. I went down to the Bass Gallery today and guess who happened to be there? Non other than Sheldon Dingwall himself! What a nice guy. We had a long chat, and he let me demo the 5 string Super P, as well as one of the Combustion series and I've got to say, WOW. I must admit, I've always thought of fanned frets as a gimmick. They look pretty cool, but I didn't really appreciate the benefits until I played one. I was absolutely astounded. The tone was absolutely gorgeous, and I found them so easy to play, and it was by far the lightest 5 string I've ever had the pleasure of picking up. If I could afford one, I'd buy one. ASAP. Seriously good basses. Thanks again Sheldon for producing such wonderful instruments, and for the kind comments about my playing! James
