1. Thanks a lot mrtcat, and cheers John - You're welcome to pop round any time. I seem to remember I still owe you a lesson after you took me to see Living Colour! And Luke - The JV is seriously the best P Bass I've ever played. Got it off here for an absolute bargain!
2. It's still here - Not sure I want to part with it though! PM me and we'll talk. Cheers!
3. Thanks guys! Would be very much appreciated if you follow RichF's lead and Subscribe to my channel
4.
Saw Paul at a clinic in Great Yarmouth, would you believe it.... With Derrick and the guitarist whose name escapes me. Really great guys, all of them... Question and answer session with instruments, very cool!
Rob Harris I think his name is...Turner is brilliant - Met him just the once but he was a really nice guy to talk to, and totally down to earth. I'm a big fan of his for sure!
5.
and a Rush anthology in the background too, good man.
Really need to spend more time with this...Bought it for the transcription of YYZ...So far it's the only one I've learned! Thanks xgsjx, and Gareth, I'm glad my version of this tune inspired you to learn it...Get a video of yours up - I'd love to see your take on it
6.
Time for the holiday photo - everyone sqeeze in and smile
Bloody hell! More knobs there than Jenna Jameson's back catalogue!
7. Of setting videos to 'Public'? Yeah, it took a lot of effort, but I got there in the end
8. Video had set itself to private for some reason...Just gone in and changed it so it should now be viewable! Cheers again, really am flattered by the comments in this thread
9. I've had trouble changing the License setting to play on iPod/iPhone devices, due to copyright. If you view it on a laptop/PC it should be fine! Thanks a lot for the comments guys, it really is appreciated!
10. That is one sexy looking Jazz. Well played, sir!
11. Hi Mark, James here!! Just wanted to let any prospective players know I have worked with Mark in the past, and he and John the guitarist are a cool couple of guys - this is a fun gig with what seems to be plenty of work available. A great opportunity for the right player. Good luck!

Best Octaver?

The OC-2 can be had pretty cheaply second hand, and is in fact what Tony Levin used on Sledgehammer I believe. I'd go for the actual pedal over a Multi-FX any day.
13. Bought a PedalTrain Nano from Harry last week. Arrived quickly and safely, great communication throughout, and just an all round great transaction. Would definitely do business again without hesitation. Thanks!
14.
I agree with you on Apple's advertisement of their "advanced" integrated cameras; my Iphone's camera is far worse than my trust old Sony Ericsson. I have found that using an aftermarket camera app helps a lot with it (I think I'm using one called Camera+ atm.) Tasty looking board btw dude
I see! Didn't think of searching the App store for a new camera app! Thanks a lot
15. My favourite OD. I've had it for AGES now. I've had it longer than everything else on the board!
16.
Nice board. How do you find the Octamizer? I wonder if it would do a better job than the EBS one that I use? I run my Sadowsky at the start of the signal chain, how come you run yours at the end? Is the Loopmaster Patcher purely for tidiness purposes?
Gone from this: To this: Sorry for the picture quality, it was taken with my 4th Gen iPod Touch. (Is it just me who thinks they rave on about having an awesome camera, yet whenever you take pics with them they turn out looking sh*te?) Moved the Sadowsky Pre-amp to the front of the chain, and added some more pedals! Now includes a Tonefactor Bass 442, Subdecay Prometheus, Subdecay Baby Quasar, and an Analogman Mini Chorus with fixed Deep switch.
17.
Hi Phil I'm building myself a Pearl Octave clone at the minute that will do two octaves down, one octave down, clean, and one octave up. Should be finished in a week or so as I'm just waiting for a few parts, I'm only down in Sheffield so if you want I'll let you know when I'm done if you want to try it? Cheers T
On the other hand, I have the original Pearl Octave I might consider selling. PM me and we can talk. Cheers
18. Quite enjoyed learning this one. Starting the intro riff and realising the band I was depping for play it in a different key....Not so much.
19.
I'll try and get some pics up of my 3 MM's this week. Just restrung my Silver Sparkle SR5 with DR Green Neons...Looks rather snazzy if I do say so myself
As promised! Apologies for the quality, the pictures were taken with my iPod Touch... 1999 Stingray 4, Trans Teal with Mirror pickguard. Maple neck, Rosewood Fretboard, with Hipshot De-Tuner and 2 Band EQ. Currently strung with Flats (Although I think I might swap them to the Fretless...) 1989 Fretless Stingray 4, Trans Red with clear pickguard. Maple neck, Unlined Pau Ferro Fretboard. 3 Band EQ and Nordstrand MM4.2 pickup. Currently strung with Rounds 2005 Stingray 5, Silver Sparkle with Black Pearl pickguard. Maple neck, Maple Fretboard. All stock apart from a new nut. Just restrung with DR Green Neons, 45-125. Can't really tell in the pictures, but it's a real "Gliterry" finish in the flesh! And the obligatory "Family shot"...
20.
More Pearl Blue awesomeness! As for the pickup height I would raise the DG end up as far as you feel is comfortable for your style ( I have raised my pre EB too far and I keep clipping the strings on the poles when Im giving it some) then lower the EA end down until its balanced, The secret is to lower the EA end rather than keep raising the DG as the pickup and pre amp have enough output to have it quite far away from the strings anyway. I guess this youtube video classes as EBMM porn especially as it contains the Blue Pearl bass that is so popular right now? Shameless tedious link plug
The bass tone on this tune is superb! Love it. Good tune too. With regards to the Sabre debate, now that they do Stingray HH models, there's not really much point, is there?...or is there more difference than I thought? Hopefully someone can enlighten me! I'll try and get some pics up of my 3 MM's this week. Just restrung my Silver Sparkle SR5 with DR Green Neons...Looks rather snazzy if I do say so myself
