1. Hi mate, firstly thanks a lot! It's a great tune to play. I use a PJB Bass Buddy, so I have my bass, and a line from my iMac going into the Aux in, so I hear the track and myself. I then run the Line Out (which only takes the Bass input and not the Aux) and run that into the Line In on a Lexicon Alpha. It's not the best interface in the world, but it's cheap and cheerful and gets the job done. That is a USB interface so no power required, it just runs direct into the Mac. I record in Logic, add a bit of whatever I fancy with the plugins (EQ/Compresson/what have you). Then I just bounce the tracks into one stereo track, and align it with the video thats been recording the whole time. Export to YouTube and it's done. There's probably better interfaces out there for not much more money (I'm dying for an Apogee Duet but they're SOOO pricey) but for now this does the job pretty well with no hassle Cheers, hope that helps James
2. My cover of Sir Duke. Enjoy!
3. Still a bit slow for me too. I'm on a Mac and using Safari if that makes any difference!
4.
I used to have a Catalinbread Valcoder. I dont think they make them anymore so you'd have to do a bit of searching around used.
This. I have one. It's tiny, has control over the rate and depth, and the LED not only flashes in time with the rate, it also glows dimmer/brighter depending on the depth. If you have a really choppy tremelo, the LED will flash on and off accordingly, if you have a mild one, the LED will just dim/brighten in time with the rate. Awesome little pedal. I don't use mine, but I don't want to sell it. I'd be happy to let you borrow it to see if you definitely want one!
5. Haha! Yes, I'm an ugly bugger! Thanks mate, I must admit that's had some EQ fiddling in Logic. Correct, it's the Fender/AllParts jobby into my PJB Bass Buddy. The compressor on the unit is engaged, and just recorded straight into Logic via the line out of the PJB into a Lexicon Alpha Interface. The sound is fairly representative of the bass anyway, but it always sounds better with a bit of additional EQ'ing. Thanks for watching

Nearly Dan

Next time you're at the Jazz Cafe I will DEFINITELY be there. Been skint the last couple times! Keep me informed of your dates mate, me and Dad would love to come down!
8. Ok, so it's a little later than originally anticipated, but I added a couple videos to My Channel including Peg by Steely Dan and Somebody"]Somebody Else's Guy by Jocelyn Brown
9. My cover of Freddie Washington's classic line on Jocelyn Brown's "Somebody Else's Guy". All comments and crits welcome
10. Cheers dude! Was gonna try and get another Dan cover up today but not sure I'm gonna get to do it. I'm just uploading a cover of Jocelyn Brown's "Somebody Else's Guy" that I did yesterday. Hopefully I'll have time to get another Dan one up. Thanks again!
11. My cover of Peg by Steely Dan. I know it's a bit wafty here and there...Was just trying to get my head round Logic and iMovie so it's not as good as it could be as I was just experimenting. All comments and criticisms welcome though
12. Bugger! I Hope these haven't gone. I blew a speaker on one of my DB212's
13. Echo Park definitely. I've seen them come up as cheap as £50 on here in the for sale section. Best Tap Tempo/overall Delay for the price, considering all the modes it has. I never use mine on bass, but it's a keeper. And also, the Akai Headrush is a wicked unit, but it's a waste unless you're looking at using it as a looper. Not very versatile delay wise, but it's very good at what it does do.
14.
what a f***ing disappointment... so much waiting for... this??? I'm afraid that the RHCP are dead, I can't see this album having a good reception... :-(
I agree pretty much with everything you said. Makes me wonder how bad the B-Sides are if these are the tracks that made the album :/ I've been a massive RHCP fan since I discovered them about 11 Years ago and checked out their entire back catalogue, but this album is a massive letdown IMO. Although I do like "Even You Brutus?". Cool groove.

Bass DI

You've also got the Sadowsky Pre-Amp/DI which I've found to be awesome, although I haven't tried any of the others. I get all my overdrive from other pedals so it wasn't a needed feature for me, or I would have looked at the MXR/Sansamp/Tonehammer instead. For me it's the Sadowsky DI all the way!
16. Lovely looking bass. Did you receive my PM?
17. To answer the OP's original question - Some of it will be in Harlow tonight at "The Purple Emperor", if any Bass Chatters fancy popping along
18. +1 to all the above. One of the best looking Stingrays I've ever had the fortune to lay my eyes on. Seriously wish I had the moolah for this!
19. Keep it and apply the tort....You know it makes sense

Cheers Jim James
My wish was granted...Just did another deal with Jim and it was just as outstanding as the first. Many thanks mate!
21. That's a lovely, lovely bass. I got one exactly the same except its trans red and is an '89 model. Really fantastic fretless this bass. Someone please snap it up!
