2. Cheers dude! Was gonna try and get another Dan cover up today but not sure I'm gonna get to do it. I'm just uploading a cover of Jocelyn Brown's "Somebody Else's Guy" that I did yesterday. Hopefully I'll have time to get another Dan one up. Thanks again!
3. My cover of Peg by Steely Dan. I know it's a bit wafty here and there...Was just trying to get my head round Logic and iMovie so it's not as good as it could be as I was just experimenting. All comments and criticisms welcome though
4. Bugger! I Hope these haven't gone. I blew a speaker on one of my DB212's
5. Echo Park definitely. I've seen them come up as cheap as £50 on here in the for sale section. Best Tap Tempo/overall Delay for the price, considering all the modes it has. I never use mine on bass, but it's a keeper. And also, the Akai Headrush is a wicked unit, but it's a waste unless you're looking at using it as a looper. Not very versatile delay wise, but it's very good at what it does do.
6.
what a f***ing disappointment... so much waiting for... this??? I'm afraid that the RHCP are dead, I can't see this album having a good reception... :-(
I agree pretty much with everything you said. Makes me wonder how bad the B-Sides are if these are the tracks that made the album :/ I've been a massive RHCP fan since I discovered them about 11 Years ago and checked out their entire back catalogue, but this album is a massive letdown IMO. Although I do like "Even You Brutus?". Cool groove.

Bass DI

You've also got the Sadowsky Pre-Amp/DI which I've found to be awesome, although I haven't tried any of the others. I get all my overdrive from other pedals so it wasn't a needed feature for me, or I would have looked at the MXR/Sansamp/Tonehammer instead. For me it's the Sadowsky DI all the way!
8. Lovely looking bass. Did you receive my PM?
9. To answer the OP's original question - Some of it will be in Harlow tonight at "The Purple Emperor", if any Bass Chatters fancy popping along
10. +1 to all the above. One of the best looking Stingrays I've ever had the fortune to lay my eyes on. Seriously wish I had the moolah for this!
11. Keep it and apply the tort....You know it makes sense
12.
From one James to another.....Top bloke! Great communication, deal was very smooth and efficient. 3 days incl. from first PM to receiving the item is outstanding. Really hope to deal with him again sometime soon! Cheers Jim James
My wish was granted...Just did another deal with Jim and it was just as outstanding as the first. Many thanks mate!
13. That's a lovely, lovely bass. I got one exactly the same except its trans red and is an '89 model. Really fantastic fretless this bass. Someone please snap it up!
14. Fb?? I thought that was E! Sorry, I'll get my coat
15. That's gorgeous. Definitely needs a Tort guard though
16.
Dredgetone Angler 1st reissue so identical to the original with buffer and click to position gain knob, stuck on labels etc I believe only 10 of these were made before he made some changes to them. Fantastic pedal lots of great sound from low gain to tear your face off Comes with box though this box has been used to post to me so is covered in labels and such. Steve is a top bloke to deal with, and the pedal is awesome! Great Bass OD.

18.
Gilles. Put it on ebay you'll get alot more than £470. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Akai-SB1-Deep-Im...=item3f0b830bfc Joe.
That makes me feel sick that I sold mine for £330 a few years ago. Lol.
19.
A semi tonal discrepancy.. I like this! Wait for the chorus. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UWtcSvtiQw...be_gdata_player Interestingly, some people I've played this to, just didn't 'get' it.
Love it! Tim Minchin FTW!
20. I had an Abalone pickguard on mine when I had it, and thought it looked great. But now I really wish I'd just stuck a black guard on it! I'm a sucker for Orange Have a free bump!
21. My first Stingray was that colour, and it is indeed a beautiful finish. Have a 'Regret selling that one' Bump on me
22.
Aguilar Octamizer Octave Pedal - £95 posted. Bought from P-T-P (Pete) here in May - looking to recover what I paid for it. No complaints, selling because I just don't use it.
Bargain! Wouldn't be seen dead without mine. Good luck with the sale, although I don't think you'll need it. Someone snap up one of the best octavers around for a great price.
23.
Here is my new setup - I havent taken a picture with just the board yet.
Awesome rig dude. Lovin the Lakky!
24.
To to get back to the OP's point I think someone hit the nail on the head early in the thread with 2 basses. One tuned to Eb tuning and the other in standard tuning for those songs where the guitarist has shifted back up a fret on a detuned guitar to effectively get back to standard tuning. As it was a tune specifically mentuioned, when I have to play SCOM at jam sessions it is always in C, that took a bit of getting used to!
I've always had to play it in 'D' position, but with the bass tuned down a semi-tone. Had to learn it in 'C' for a gig the other week (bass still downtuned), it went perfect. Fast forward a couple of weeks, have to play it in 'D' again, and I can hardly remember it! That one took some quick thinking!
25. +1 to that. Certain songs like Slither or Hysteria by Muse will utilise open strings to sound it's best, and even when using the 5 I will downtune my E string for Slither. If it's a song where I just need the range, I will stay in whatever tuning and go from there, if it's something riff based which needs the open string like Slither, I will downtune to make it easier. All depends on the song IMO.
