1. Boss Harmonist sold already. I only put it on eBay about half hour ago. Should have had a higher BIN price!
2. Ok selling the MB Super Synth for a friend. It's absolutely mint with the exception of velcro on the bottom (lets face it thats more of a pro than a con!) and comes with the original box, power supply and all that malarky. Pics can be sent if needed, but do ya really need to see a mint condition pedal? He's owned it from new and it's had minimal use. [s]He's looking for £200 plus postage which is a bargain IMHO[/s] SOLD Now, I'm selling a Boss HR-2 Harmonist. It's the original more sought after Boss Harmoniser pedal. It's had one knob replaced and is a little beaten up, but it's in perfect working order and sounds the nuts. Choose the key you're playing in, choose which 2 harmonies you want from that scale (from -1oct to +1oct), choose the levels for each harmony compared to your root note, and away you go. Stereo outputs also. I believe it can be used for vocals too, but really shines on guitar. No box or manual, but these were discontinued in 1999, so not unusual for a box to go missing in that time [s]It's currently on eBay with a BIN of £85. For BC'ers I'll include postage in that. Tell your guitarists about it, and tell 'em how much they need one![/s] SOLD Cheers James
3. Comes with original box, and all the original cables. £100 + postage. Cheers More to come soon.
4. I played this when it belonged to Kevin, and it absolutely rocks! Amazing bass with one of the thinnest necks I've ever played!
5. I used to use the AG500 with a DB112/DB112NT setup, but found it wasn't loud enough for my band (I didn't have PA support and my guitarist, well, is a guitarist...) so I've stepped it up to a DB750 and 2 8ohm DB212's. I mainly only need one cab, but for the bigger gigs I take both. I've never been happier with my sound, and a single 8ohm 212 will easily put out enough watts for most gigs. Your mileage may vary depending on the size of the venues you're playing, but if you need to go any louder than that, you'll most likely have PA support anyway so...It's up to you! But for my money, you can't go wrong with a couple of 2x12's - Gives you the option of splitting if you need to, rather than having something like an 8x10. Hope that helps! PS. My Dad used to go to the Bass Centre when it was in Wapping so you probably served him a few times!
6. I have 2 8 ohm DB212s and a DB750 amp. I never use both, except ONE gig that is particularly big. Every other gig the 450 watts into one 8ohm DB212 is more than enough. Each cab handles 600watts I think so when I'm using both, they REALLY push some air!
7. Someone tell Pino he ruined his career with all that fretless stuff in the 80's! He'll be kicking himself!
8. John is a great guy to deal with. We live on the same street, so I had a chance to play with this pedal last week and it's very cool. Top condition too, £110 is a bargain!
9.
Perhaps illegal was the wrong word!! It is something to do with the opto-isolators and what they were made of and you can't use the same thing anymore. Sure I read it on here in the first place.
The element used in them is Cadmium I believe - Now illegal to use as its not RoHS compliant!
10.
C'est la vie innit.
Bonjour blood. I see you speak French-Chav also
11. God I want this. Interested in anything I have for sale?
12.
seriously, these things are GREAT!!!! £45 is a crazy bargain - i'd buy it if i didnt have one! :-p
+1. I already have one and I'm tempted to buy it just so I can say "Guess how much I paid for THIS!" to fellow players
13. Bump - Flanger sold pending funds!
14. Yup that's fine - I've used one with it before!
15. Oh yeah forgot to mention - It is 18vDC. I have the adaptor cable for the Burkey, to double up 2 9v outputs into an 18v one. If you buy both together I can give a discount. If not, just any 18vDC centre -ve supply will do! Although the Burkey cable will work with any other isolated power brick like the Pedal Power 2, etc.
16. Ok, really need some cash here, so up for sale are: Original Musitronics Mu-Tron III I REALLY never thought I'd do this. In awesome cosmetic condition, it's been modded (fully reversible, although I don't see why you'd want to) for 9v operation, by Dan at The GigRig, so it can be daisy chained using a standard 9v adaptor. To do this it uses 2 GigRig Virtual Batteries (included with the sale) and it works perfectly. It's got velcro on the bottom. Has no box or manual (it predates me by approx. 17 years!) and is a 1972 model still has (patents pending on the top edge) , serial number 4388! So it's a nice early one. It is my absolute FAVOURITE filter for bass, and I believe it to be the best one ever made. However, I have a couple other filters that will get me near enough to this iconic sound, and just really need the cash so I'm going to have to let this one go. £400 including postage, and 2 GigRig Virtual Batteries (worth £55!) Montgomery Appliances '77 Flanger This pedal is rare as rocking horse poo. I believe there to be only 9 in the world, and this is possibly the ONLY one in the UK. I really didn't want to sell this as it's my only Flanger, and is the best one I've ever used, so much so I've never had to buy another one, but it just doesn't get used on my Live board so has to go. It is a clone of the original 70's A/DA Flanger with a few upgrades, which include: 2 speeds, which are footswitchable (right footswitch) Footswitchable even/odd harmonics (this was a toggle switch on the original I believe, but was made into a footswitch for this boutique clone, left footswitch) Middle footswitch is on/off Controls are: Gate, Manual, Depth, Enhance, and Rates A and B I've never gigged it since I've had it, I got it from Toasted here a couple of years ago, so it's in exactly the same condition. I might even still have the box for it somewhere. I would like £200 inc. postage for this beasty. *SOLD* Feeler: MSD EarthQuaker Bass Wah Now this being my only wah I really will only sell if I haven't sold any of the other stuff, as it's my favourite ever wah pedal and I am literally only selling because it's worth a bit. Its the only thing for sale here that has actually seen Live use, and it absolutely rocks, so I'm really not keen on letting it go. If everything else sells I will be withdrawing it from sale. Having said that, I really do need some cash so if I get my asking price on it, I will grudgingly let it go! It's in mint condition, and is in my opinion the best bass wah available! Would like £180 for it + postage (It's very heavy so wouldnt like to estimate! Burkey Flatliner An awesome power supply, I never even gigged this. I initially bought it because it had a 9vAC out allowing me to power my Digitech Whammy along with everything else on my pedalboard, all from one unit. It comes with all the original 9v leads, as many of the original adaptors I can find, and original box. All of its outputs are isolated, and they are as follows 5x9v, 1x12v, 2x variable voltage outputs (1 between 3 and 9v, the other between 3 and 12v) and 1x9vAC output. These are close to £200 new (Vision Guitars sell them for £195) so how about £140 + postage (they are pretty heavy so wouldn't want to estimate!) Pics coming shortly!
17. I no longer do originals so it's been a while since I've been on the 3-4 bands per night scheme, and back then my gear was pretty cheap. I had a combo blown up by a mate of mine who borrowed it. Since then I've never lent gear. In the last originals band I was in, I did a gig at the Dublin Castle in Camden. I set my gear up and soundchecked, then went to get something to eat. Came back when the first band were on, and thought, wow, that guys got a nice bass tone...At the end of the night the bass player came over to me and said "thanks for letting me use your rig mate!" I was like "WHAT?! WHO SAID YOU COULD USE IT?!" I didn't say anyone could/couldn't use it, but I wasn't asked AT ALL at ANY point in the night! If I was I would have refused after my last gear lending incident - especially as my gear had increased in value a lot by then! Now I use an Aguilar DB750 and DB212. So unless they're a good friend that would pay to fix it if anything went wrong, I'd be asking for £2k upfront
18. Any top bassist poll that doesn't even mention Pino, let alone have him in the top 3, is meaningless.
19. Not sure about the date issue, but for TBP mods and getting it to work on a single 9v power input, send it to Dan at The GigRig. He put 2 virtual batteries in and wired it up so it took just a standard 9v Boss jack so it can be daisy chained! I never bothered with getting mine TB'd I just use a loop! Cheers
20. If I had the cash I'd be all over this. Seriously looks to be an amazing bass. Wish I could take it off your hands, I really do!
21.
Was this pickup configuration a custom option?
Nope. I believe they had both Jazz models and MM models as stock models.
