Thanks for the replies! I've gone with the one from JohnnyShredFreak, as in dannybuoy's message above, as it has the box on the board and is a fair bit cheaper than Diago. Thanks again!
The Diago is basically a re-branded JohnnyShredFreak anyway...So massive saving!
Just finished my new board off so thought I would share some pictures. Chain is as follows: Bass into TC Electronics Polytune - Catalinbread Serrano Picoso (clean boost which I use with the 74 jazz bass) - EBS Octabass - EBS Bass IQ - Subdecay Prometheus - signal then splits with a feed into the Chunk Sytems Brown Dog input and also the Envelope in on the Chunk Systems Agent 00 Funk Mark II (this enable me to use the 00 Funk as an envelope filter in it's own right - output from Brown Dog then goes into the input of the 00 Funk - EBS Multi Comp and finally to the EBS UniChorus and then to the input on my Aguilar AG500. All housed in a Pedaltrain PT2 with hard flight case which is big but very protective!
Nice board dude! I see you like your filters I used to have the Brown Dog/00Funk combo, that was awesome!
Hi Guys, this is my most recent double bass recording for a wedding band jazz trio. It's really cheesey! I was recorded on the fly in my friends lounge with a mic so you can really hear the tone of the bass. It was strung with Evah weichs which i love. Im not thrilled with my playing but you can hear the bass as its got the first solo :-)
That is the best Double Bass tone I have ever heard in my life.

This is awesome. I love it! Fantastic all round, but that bass tone is lovely!
The one you're looking at on EBay is made and sold for/by effectpowersupplies.com I recently got their 1.3mA power supply, capable of powering 5 pedals. Cost £22.99 including delivery if i recall correctly, and it's superb. It really doesn't add any noise whatsoever to the signal chain, and is more than capable of powering any 9v pedals that you care to chuck at it. Super price as well. I'd highly reccommend it if you want to go for that sort of power supply, if you want to go for one with a 'box' you can mount on your board, or one that you can plug leads into (a la TRex fuel tank and co), then look elsewhere.
That will power more than 5 pedals, depending on their current draw. Digital pedals will obviously draw more current, but analogue distortions and such usually don't draw much more than about 30mA (I think!).
I've had a few lessons and in my last lesson I was asked to learn some 12 bar blues. I learnt them off by heart and thought my fingering was correct but my teacher corrected me and showed me the correct fingering then I tried to play the riff with the new fingering and I really strugled but could play with it before. My teacher said I've got muscle memory that why I strugled. Is muscle memory good or bad?
It's awesome if you learn it the right way in the first place!
It's something to do with the grounding of the pedal that means it has to use a battery I think
Voila! Virtual Battery BC:

PM umph on this forum. I bought a single Loop switch from him and it is one of the most well put together pedals I've ever used. They're not complicated to build, but his wiring is the neatest I've seen in any unit, professional or not! He'll do you a good product at a decent price. If you need more bells and whistles (volume controls, EQ etc) I'd PM SilentFly. His SFX pedals are outstanding.

All 3 of them are 3 of my Bass heroes. Marcus' tone and groove are impeccable, as is Wooten's technique, and Stanley's musicianship and songwriting are just something else altogether. 3 of the greatest Musicians let alone Bass players of all time. I'd be happy to have 1% of the talent these guys possess. Despite all that I DO feel there is something missing. It's great in it's own right, but I'm not sure I could stand an entire album. And that's coming from someone who admires all 3 of these guys to the fullest extent!

FS/FT Aguilar cabs - Price now added *SOLD*
Higgie replied to Higgie's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
The cab is every bit as good as the DB112. If you turn the tweeter off in the DB112, the NT is basically what you end up with. I have found it to have more than enough treble. I'm not that big a fan of tweeters anyway, which is why I bought a DB112/112NT setup instead of 2xDB112's. It sounds just fine as a standalone cab. -
Haha both of them are excellent! Particularly like BMW's though! "One of the most popular features sure to strike a cord with the floating voter is that the roundel can also be replaced in a matter of seconds should the opposition suddenly feel more appealing." Genius
Get that male vocalist back, if you can. Do the gigs without a lead guitarist. S.P.
+1 to getting the singer back. Is your rhythm player capable of any lead? If so get him to double up. If not, try and get a new lead guitarist! Good luck mate
Dunno if you guys will be able to see this without being friends with the guy, but a video was uploaded to FaceBook of my band covering "Hysteria" on Saturday. By the way, my bass WAS heavily fuzzed out, but the camera just didn't pick it up. Sounds Earth-Shattering live! Higgie replied to ziggydolphinboy's topic in General Discussion
You gotta come over soon John - Just took delivery of the new Aguilar Octave pedal! It's fantastic. Give me a bell mate! -
Someone snap up that Octamizer in the FS section. Seriously. Mine just turned up today. It is AWESOME. I was GASing for both the MXR BOD and the Octamizer, but it's safe to say I don't even need to try the MXR. The Aguilar F'in rocks!!!

LS-2's are a very quick and cheap solution to the problem, as you can put the effects in one loop, and leave the other loop empty, and then use the level knobs to blend the sound together. Personally I use an Xotic X-Blender, as it has a big blend knob you can turn with your foot (invaluable for me as I have a fuzz in the loop, and sometimes just want a soft fuzz and then a heavy fuzz later in the song, so can change with my foot and either gradually fade the Fuzz in or just turn the knob up while the pedal is off) and it also has volume, bass and treble controls for EQ'ing the blended signal, eg to match your clean sound, or a bit of boost, etc. Then having the footswitch to be able to turn off the blend and go to straight effects is also very useful. Great pedal! The best blender available IMO.
