1. My 89 Fretless is really thin front to back and feels more like a Jazz where as the 06 fretted is the more typical MM shape. Both absolutely gorgeous and a joy to play!
2. Dunno if you guys will be able to see this without being friends with the guy, but a video was uploaded to FaceBook of my band covering "Hysteria" on Saturday. By the way, my bass WAS heavily fuzzed out, but the camera just didn't pick it up. Sounds Earth-Shattering live! 3. Thanks mate! This bass is something special though, I mean, it even makes ME look like a semi-decent player!!
4. A couple more pics of the bass at some gigs:
5. Dimensions/weight? Cheers
6. Sorry mate, I didn't mean to do that! That's what I paid for it so wanted to offer it back at the same price. Good luck with your sale!
7. I don't think an Auto-Wah can pull off Cochise to be honest. I have the Subdecay Prometheus AND an MSD Earthquake Wah on my board for this very reason. The Cochise riff isn't just a straight forward Auto-Wah on a cycle, IMO you need the Manual to get the expression and phrasing of the Wah just right. Cheers
8. I've found the best way to set up the Prometheus for Mutron style sounds is: LP Envelope Up Intensity on full Then, as you know, the Prometheus can be set up like a static filter. Turn the Depth all the way down, then use the frequency knob to select the frequency you want. I use this to set up how much sweep I want. Turn the Freq. knob until you are pleased with where you would like the cut off point to be, then you can turn the Depth up until the envelope suits your playing style. I personally have Freq. about 11 oclock, and Depth at around 10ish. Then just back off the Intensity knob (or not, depends what you're going for!) until you're happy with the ratio of filter:clean. Hope that helps! Cheers
9. Thanks very much Rich for the kind words You heard the man! It's a STONKER! So get your wallets out
10. It's in fantastic condition, comes with original box etc. It's pictured on my board which you can find the link to in my sig! £45 posted by next day delivery! Cheers
11. Mint condition Stingray in a fairly rare colour with matching headstock, upgraded pickup, Hipshot De-Tuner with original tuner included, and it's mint condition original hardcase with the truss rod key and all bits and pieces for £800? Come on you know it's a steal!
12. That's a shame. If they were both 8 Ohms i'd have been very interested!
13. Are they both 4 ohms?
14. Haha I guess I was reading into the comment a little too much!
15. This is the first I've heard of them being illegal in the UK. If I'd have had any idea, my dad and I wouldn't have bought them for ourselves. We've not had any trouble whatsoever using them at all!
16. Cheers Manos. This bass really does have the lowest action I've ever had on a bass! With the smooth finish on the necks it makes it one of the fastest basses I've ever played. Free to come and try before buying!
17. As far as I know they are? They're used by quite a few people on this forum, and neither my dad or me have had any trouble with frequency interference or anything!
18. Learnt this the other night thanks to your transcription. Thanks very much! You've annoyed me though, because now I really want a set of flats for my P-Bass!
19. Bump. Had some nice offers but no firm deal reached yet!
20.
GAS
Ah...the humble acronym that I hold accountable for all a musician's woes!
21.
Don't museum that Mu-Tron man, get it on your board!
I had it modded to take an Boss 9V DC input (using some clever virtual battery jiggery-pokery from The GigRig) so it's an option as it can be daisy chained. But it's huge! The Bypass is terrible. No LED either. It does sound bloody amazing though!! The Prometheus just works better for me live because it's more versatile. I have an Envelope Filter capable of Mu-Tron territory, which is small, TB, has an LED, can do auto wah and step filter as well as fixed frequency sounds too. I'd be stupid to use the Mu-Tron instead of that And yes that was Toasted's old wah. I love it. Great range of tones that suit different styles, I'd put it in between a 105Q and a Morley Dual Bass Wah in sound capability, but is better than both has it has the auto on/off thing when you step on the pedal like those two, but it's not on a spring so can be left open in whatever position you want, and turned on/off with the stomp switch! Fantastic design IMO!
22. Also, please note in the pics the Orange looks like its a solid colour, it's really not. You can see the figuring of the wood straight through it and its a spectacular finish!
23. Bump. This bass is only up for sale for as long as the one I want to buy is. If the bass I want sells before I sell this I'll be withdrawing it, so if you want it, speak up now! Then we can all get the basses we want
