Learnt this the other night thanks to your transcription. Thanks very much! You've annoyed me though, because now I really want a set of flats for my P-Bass!
Don't museum that Mu-Tron man, get it on your board!
I had it modded to take an Boss 9V DC input (using some clever virtual battery jiggery-pokery from The GigRig) so it's an option as it can be daisy chained. But it's huge! The Bypass is terrible. No LED either. It does sound bloody amazing though!! The Prometheus just works better for me live because it's more versatile. I have an Envelope Filter capable of Mu-Tron territory, which is small, TB, has an LED, can do auto wah and step filter as well as fixed frequency sounds too. I'd be stupid to use the Mu-Tron instead of that And yes that was Toasted's old wah. I love it. Great range of tones that suit different styles, I'd put it in between a 105Q and a Morley Dual Bass Wah in sound capability, but is better than both has it has the auto on/off thing when you step on the pedal like those two, but it's not on a spring so can be left open in whatever position you want, and turned on/off with the stomp switch! Fantastic design IMO!
Hey there Quite like the look of this. What sort of price are these new? I haven't seen them for sale in the UK? Im assuming as they're digital, they're fine to use?
I haven't seen them for sale over here either, so I don't know how much they are new. It cost me £150 new from America so I've just knocked off the cost of shipping. Yes they are digital, and yeah they are brilliant. My Dad and I both use ours without any trouble what so ever, and you will also find many users of them on here and on TalkBass. Cheers -

This 2006 Stingray is in MINT condition, there is not a ding on her anywhere. It's in Translucent Orange (with Matching Headstock) and has an Abalone Pickguard. It has a Nordstrand MM 4.2 pickup installed, unfortunately I sold the original pickup as I needed some cash at the time, but I gladly did it as it was never going to go back in this bass! The Nordie sounds SWEET! Maple neck and fingerboard. It also has a Hipshot De-Tuner fitted, original tuning key will be included in the sale. The tone of this bass is just beautiful, it's just I'm a Jazz guy at heart and I've been bitten by the GAS Bug, I desperately want a 5 String! It comes with it's original Hardshell case which is also in mint condition as it's hardly been used. It's been babied since I bought it off here a couple of years ago! It's currently strung up with Elixir Nanowebs. The coating has started to flake a little bit but they still sound great. I can include some light guage strings that came off my Shuker Jazz and had only been on a couple of days (so still sound and play as new) free of charge if you'd like. Rich (OutToPlayJazz) has played this bass and can attest to it's sound and quality overall - It's a fantastic example of what a Musicman Stingray should be. When I last got it set up my Tech said it's the most well made Bass Guitar he's ever had the pleasure of working on! Looking for £800 + delivery, or £800 collected from Chingford, East London. Could also travel into Central London. I'm not looking for any trades on this as I need to free up some cash! Sorry about the blurriness of the above pic. I can take more pics if anyone is genuinely interested. Cheers James

Or better yet take a chunk out of the back and put it in the front! Time to get the hacksaw out!
I see you're not using the SFT in the blend loop, so im guessing it sits in the mix ok? Ive been looking whether to get that pedal but i keep hearing mixed things about it. Id probably be using it more on the low gain side I think.
It sits fine. There is more than enough low end response. The tone is just lovely. Sounds the dogs testicles through my AG500!

Here's my attempt at it: Listen out for the clanger in the second chorus! F# instead of F

This has been a long time coming! So here is the board I use Live with Torn: All on a Pedaltrain PT-2, and powered by a Diago Powerstation and a Johnny Shredfreak supply (exact same unit). I could power the whole board with one unit, but then I lose a plug off of my daisy chain and would have to lose a pedal from the board. Signal Chain is: X2 Wireless>Korg DT-10>Catalinbread SFT>TB loop (OC-2)>X-Blender (Swollen Pickle clone>MSD Earthquaker Bass Wah)>Subdecay Prometheus>Analogman Chorus The next lot aren't in any particular configuration, as I don't have enough George L's to wire up another couple of boards Original Visual Sound Visual Volume Pedal Original Digitech WH1 Whammy Crowther Prunes and Custard Line 6 Echo Park Atomic EchoClone (The guts of an original Way Huge Aqua Puss just in a different enclosure) Catalinbread Valcoder Burkey Flatliner in the background All on a Pedaltrain PT-JR Just a couple more pedals I got laying around: Original Musitronics Mu-Tron III (1972 I believe) EHX NYC BassBalls (For Sale) MojoHand/ToneFactor TalkBass edition Cream Pie Montgomery Appliances '77 Flanger (Clone of the original A/DA Flanger with a couple improvements like True Bypass, LEDs etc) And just for fun here's a (blurry) pic of the whole lot:

To be honest I've found it to be one of the most intuitive gain pedals I've ever used. Start with the Gain at Min., Bass and Treble aand Volume at 12. Turn the gain up while playing to find your desired level of distortion or grit (and compensate with the volume knob). Then use the EQ to taste. My personal settings are Gain about 8:30, volume to taste, then Bass and Treble about 1/2 oclock. Big beefy grind!!

Well the story is that my Dad and I wanted one each of these, and so did a friend of ours. So we did a group buy and then our friend backed out, so basically we have a brand new in box never used X2 wireless system just sitting around! It's the pedalboard version (although my dad just places his on top of his amp and it works fine). It's currently on eBay (Item no. 150422878386) with a £130 BIN. Message me on eBay beforehand informing me that you're a BC'er and I'll include postage in the BIN price. Cheers

VICTOR WOOTEN IN THE UK AT DIGITAL VILLAGE

My tickets arrived today. Can't wait! -
Tort! Tort Tort Tort! Did I mention Tort? Beautiful bass. The clear guard does look awesome but the control cavity doesn't look too pleasing i must admit. I think Tort would be best! (If you hadn't already guessed )

A friend of mine wanted to do this. He was adamant he didn't liked BEADG and wanted to go DEADG. 2 weeks later he's loving BEADG and now wouldn't dream of changing it. It's by far the best option! If you REALLY need to keep your fingerings then just drop tune your E like normal. After all, if you want to play DADG songs with a DEADG bass, then there's going to be an awful lot of extra string skipping/muting. Would take a lot more effort than just learning to play BEADG IMO.
