PENDING SALE: Fender 50's Precision, Reissue.
Higgie replied to Shockwave's topic in Basses For Sale
Whats the neck meant to be like on these? I'm after getting a precision, but have never tried the 50's reissues. Are they big and bulky or is it comfortable? Also, what colour is it? Is it in the fiesta red? Cheers Joe
It says Fiesta Red in the title -
Thanks for the replies! I've gone with the one from JohnnyShredFreak, as in dannybuoy's message above, as it has the box on the board and is a fair bit cheaper than Diago. Thanks again!
The Diago is basically a re-branded JohnnyShredFreak anyway...So massive saving!
Just finished my new board off so thought I would share some pictures. Chain is as follows: Bass into TC Electronics Polytune - Catalinbread Serrano Picoso (clean boost which I use with the 74 jazz bass) - EBS Octabass - EBS Bass IQ - Subdecay Prometheus - signal then splits with a feed into the Chunk Sytems Brown Dog input and also the Envelope in on the Chunk Systems Agent 00 Funk Mark II (this enable me to use the 00 Funk as an envelope filter in it's own right - output from Brown Dog then goes into the input of the 00 Funk - EBS Multi Comp and finally to the EBS UniChorus and then to the input on my Aguilar AG500. All housed in a Pedaltrain PT2 with hard flight case which is big but very protective!
Nice board dude! I see you like your filters I used to have the Brown Dog/00Funk combo, that was awesome!
Hi Guys, this is my most recent double bass recording for a wedding band jazz trio. It's really cheesey! I was recorded on the fly in my friends lounge with a mic so you can really hear the tone of the bass. It was strung with Evah weichs which i love. Im not thrilled with my playing but you can hear the bass as its got the first solo :-)
That is the best Double Bass tone I have ever heard in my life.

This is awesome. I love it! Fantastic all round, but that bass tone is lovely!
The one you're looking at on EBay is made and sold for/by effectpowersupplies.com I recently got their 1.3mA power supply, capable of powering 5 pedals. Cost £22.99 including delivery if i recall correctly, and it's superb. It really doesn't add any noise whatsoever to the signal chain, and is more than capable of powering any 9v pedals that you care to chuck at it. Super price as well. I'd highly reccommend it if you want to go for that sort of power supply, if you want to go for one with a 'box' you can mount on your board, or one that you can plug leads into (a la TRex fuel tank and co), then look elsewhere.
That will power more than 5 pedals, depending on their current draw. Digital pedals will obviously draw more current, but analogue distortions and such usually don't draw much more than about 30mA (I think!).
I've had a few lessons and in my last lesson I was asked to learn some 12 bar blues. I learnt them off by heart and thought my fingering was correct but my teacher corrected me and showed me the correct fingering then I tried to play the riff with the new fingering and I really strugled but could play with it before. My teacher said I've got muscle memory that why I strugled. Is muscle memory good or bad?
It's awesome if you learn it the right way in the first place!
It's something to do with the grounding of the pedal that means it has to use a battery I think
Voila! Virtual Battery BC:

PM umph on this forum. I bought a single Loop switch from him and it is one of the most well put together pedals I've ever used. They're not complicated to build, but his wiring is the neatest I've seen in any unit, professional or not! He'll do you a good product at a decent price. If you need more bells and whistles (volume controls, EQ etc) I'd PM SilentFly. His SFX pedals are outstanding.
