2. Jesus that was quick! First dibs when it next comes up!
3. Trade for my mint condition Trans Orange SR4 with Abalone pickguard, Maple fretboard and 3EQ?
4. Jesus that is my perfect Stingray, right down to the last detail. It's the first time I've seen a 2EQ Teal with maple fretboard. Usually they've all been 3EQ. Damn it

I won't go ANYWHERE ELSE for cables now, and neither will my Dad after I recommended him! Cheers Dave!
6.
Higgie mate, for once you're wrong! The maple is a factory unlined fretless. I'd like to say rare, but in the 70's they weren't especially so. However, having owned three such necks in the past I can say with some confidence that they're rarely in as good condition as this, Martin Simms did a great recon, it will have years of playing in it before it'll need any work, even with rounds. Chris
Ah! That'll teach me not to read properly. Where I saw you say it was originally maple fretted on the jazz, I didn't realise you'd had the fingerboard replaced too
7.
Are the fretless necks lined or unlined?
I'm guessing the maple will have faint lines as it was originally fretted. The P one is unlined I think. I'm sure Chris will be along soon to clarify!
8. Lovely looking bass! I still regret getting rid of my SR5 If this had a maple fretboard I'd be selling anything I could to get it
9. Head withdrawn. Certain I want to keep it! £320 per cab, £600 for both.
10. If any of you Essex bassed (ho ho, see what I did there?) players who aren't gigging/washing your hair fancy coming down, we have a gig tonight at the Admiral Vernon in Dagenham. It should be a laugh! I'll be using my Shuker Jazz if anyone fancies a go on it
11. Sad indeed, but it's already been covered here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=79040

"Not a f***ing prayer, you lecherous old goat."
Haha! Your posts really do make my day that little bit better
13. That is absolutely bloody gorgeous! Shame I haven't even got a pot to piss in at the moment
i'd head it was an old q-tron with dying batteries - so many urban legends for 1 bass sound!! either way, def not a phaser
The big old Q-Tron doesn't take batteries, its 24VDC adaptor only! Mu-Tron III with dying batteries is correct. I have an original Mu-tron III but have never quite managed to get the sound by putting dying batteries in it. I find it much easier to just run a fuzz before hand
15. Wicked pedal. I love mine. I paid a bit more for mine too. An absolute steal at that price! Someone snap it up before I decide I need a second
16. Nah I've had to pass on that unfortunately. It's just sitting around not getting used and it's my Mum's birthday today so need to get some cash back after splashing out on her Cheers
17. Great condition, you all know what these look like, I don't have a pic but it's exactly like this: No box or manual, but will be posted securely. Velcro on the bottom. £40 Inc. Next Day Delivery to your door. Cheers
18.
I've been racking my brains for a while, and i can't think of any advantages other than personal preference on the aesthetics, or the feel of the neck. are there any actual physical advantages? or is it just because of these preferences? opinions?
They sound different. There are different techniques involved. For me it's a completely separate instrument!
19. Did you get my PM? I never got a reply.
20. Funnily enough I've just done the exact same thing for a dep I'm doing! I think it's a pretty cool tune, don't feel ashamed
21. What ohmage is this? On the site it says 6ohms...But that leaves me wondering what wattage my Amp would produce if it does 500watts at 4ohm?
22.
I went for a first jam with a band last December that started out fairly positive but by the end of the night the guitarist was showing me what he wanted me to play and telling me what sort of bass sound he wanted, and despite telling me in emails that he was into a lot of the same music as me, all his sounds came out like country rock or Oasis. Drummer was ace, but looked as bored as I did. Wish I'd got the drummer's number but it would've looked conspicuous!
That's why you take everyone's number...Then delete the ones you don't want afterwards
