1. Head withdrawn. Certain I want to keep it! £320 per cab, £600 for both.
2. If any of you Essex bassed (ho ho, see what I did there?) players who aren't gigging/washing your hair fancy coming down, we have a gig tonight at the Admiral Vernon in Dagenham. It should be a laugh! I'll be using my Shuker Jazz if anyone fancies a go on it
3. Sad indeed, but it's already been covered here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=79040
4.
–verb (used with object), verb (used without object) 1.to mock, tease, or jest in a good-natured way; banter: They joked and chaffed with each other. –noun 2.good-natured ridicule or teasing; raillery: "I don't suppose you have an analogue delay pedal in here for £75 or so?" "Not a f***ing prayer, you lecherous old goat."
Haha! Your posts really do make my day that little bit better
5. Ah if only this were 8ohm!!
6. Price drop bump.
i'd head it was an old q-tron with dying batteries - so many urban legends for 1 bass sound!! either way, def not a phaser
The big old Q-Tron doesn't take batteries, its 24VDC adaptor only! Mu-Tron III with dying batteries is correct. I have an original Mu-tron III but have never quite managed to get the sound by putting dying batteries in it. I find it much easier to just run a fuzz before hand
9. I want that AC!! If only
10. Wicked pedal. I love mine. I paid a bit more for mine too. An absolute steal at that price! Someone snap it up before I decide I need a second
11. Nah I've had to pass on that unfortunately. It's just sitting around not getting used and it's my Mum's birthday today so need to get some cash back after splashing out on her Cheers
12. Great condition, you all know what these look like, I don't have a pic but it's exactly like this: No box or manual, but will be posted securely. Velcro on the bottom. £40 Inc. Next Day Delivery to your door. Cheers
13.
I've been racking my brains for a while, and i can't think of any advantages other than personal preference on the aesthetics, or the feel of the neck. are there any actual physical advantages? or is it just because of these preferences? opinions?
They sound different. There are different techniques involved. For me it's a completely separate instrument!
14. Did you get my PM? I never got a reply.
15. Funnily enough I've just done the exact same thing for a dep I'm doing! I think it's a pretty cool tune, don't feel ashamed
16. What ohmage is this? On the site it says 6ohms...But that leaves me wondering what wattage my Amp would produce if it does 500watts at 4ohm?
17.
I went for a first jam with a band last December that started out fairly positive but by the end of the night the guitarist was showing me what he wanted me to play and telling me what sort of bass sound he wanted, and despite telling me in emails that he was into a lot of the same music as me, all his sounds came out like country rock or Oasis. Drummer was ace, but looked as bored as I did. Wish I'd got the drummer's number but it would've looked conspicuous!
That's why you take everyone's number...Then delete the ones you don't want afterwards

GONE!!!

Damn it! Whenever a Sadowsky pre-amp comes up I always miss it!! Grrr!!
19.
Hey dude! The 212 is fantastic. I was dubious at first having never used 12's before but wow! I doubt I'd ever need a 410 again, it is responsive to as much top end as 10's, and to my ear has a smoother bottom. Plus is slightly smaller and lighter than 410! The Neo range tweeter is fantastic as well... Very impressed with the sound and the Neo range really are a million miles lighter than they look, and really well made. If you ever near Notts, come give it a blast! Shep
Wicked cheers for the info mate! Looks like an awesome sounding setup!! James
20. Fantastic rig mate. Great basses, nice pedal choice, and sweet amp! Can you tell me what the EBS Neo212 is like? I've been eyeing them up and wondering how good they are. Cheers Ps. Still got an empty space on that pedalboard
21.
Agreed. Agreed.
+1
22. Another addition to the gear I'd be interested in a Part ex/Trade: Epifani UL410
23.
I see the Epifani UL410 is now only 699 GBP - that's much cheaper than what I paid a couple years back. Seemed to handle my low B fine, although one cab driven hard sounded better than my two stacked together!
Where can this price be found?
24.
yeah i'm a 'gearstalker' too.. and also I tend to judge a band on the quality/brand/level of gear they have before I've heard them play a note.... any one else guilty of this?! c'mon.. own up!! (my assumptions on said bands are normally correct though it must be said!!) peace c
I find it to be a very good way of working out the quality of the band also...Although sometimes I'm surprised, for better....and for worse occasionally
25. Amp and cabs still available. £650 for both cabs or £350 each £625 for the Amp with Chocolate Thunder headcase Will do the whole rig for £1175. Cheers.
