1. That's F'ing gorgeous. Good luck with the sale buddy.
2. A 3PDT switch is exactly the same as a DPDT, just with an extra switch in it. With a DPDT you have 2 switches and 2 things to switch between (ie on/off). A 3PDT has 3 poles, but 2 things to switch between. That's why they are used for true bypass in pedals, as it allows you to connect the input to either the output (true bypass) or the effect and the extra switch in it can turn an LED on and off. True Bypass can be achieved without a 3PDT, you just wouldn't be able to use an LED without some clever jiggery-pokery. Not very specific to your question, but I hope that helps you understand the workings of a 3PDT. Edit: Just read a little closer and saw you said 3TDP. Whoops! I guess this post could be helpful to some though so I'll leave it here...
3. I use an Aguilar AG500SC and 2xDB112's so I take one cab to rehearsal and both to gigs
4. My quickest sale ever I believe
5. SOLD pending payment
6. OK I've gone crazy. £105 + postage. This pedal would cost well over £200 to have built with import tax and shipping etc, so grab yourself a bargain if you're looking to blend your clean signal with your pedals.
7.
why is there milk in your fishtank?
Haha, that's a lamp shade mate. Thanks for the kind words peoples. First £500 takes it...
8. Up for sale is my recently purchased 1994 CIJ '72 Re-Issue Fender Jazz. It's got a couple of knocks and dings, but what would you expect for a well gigged 15 year old workhorse! It's all original, no mods at all. It's gorgeous and sounds the dog danglies! Just put a new set of Laklands on it. I'll be honest and say I'm not the best at setting up basses and I haven't had the money recently to take it to a pro, so while it's in no way unplayable, the action is just a little high for my tastes and I'm not good enough at doing it to sort it out myself I paid £500 for it a couple months ago, and it's not been out of the house since I got it, so would like as much of that back as possible Cheers James
9. I won't lie I was like "What the HELL is Dave thinking?" when I saw you'd put it up for sale You made the right choice!
10. Need. Money. Now.
11. Yeah I caught that too. Absolutely amazing drummer. Those two = Bad ass rhythm section!!
12. Sorry for the disappointment. I just thought it was a really tasty bit of great playing!
13. No expression pedal input, and it's a standard filter, reacts to your dynamics. Because of the effects loop though there is a nifty little trick you can do. Plug whatever you want to trigger the filter (say the bass drum mic) into the input, then plug your bass into the return of the effects loop. It will be your bass sound coming through, but the filter will only be controlled by the kick drum So you can essentially sync the filter to be triggered by whatever you like, but have it effect your bass. Edit: Here's a vid that shows you what I mean.
14. I already have a fretless Stingray. But if the price goes any lower I might just have to buy it for the sake of it. Seriously tasty bass at an awesome price. Anyone looking to get into fretless would be hard put to find a better bargain on a bass of such quality. What are you waiting for?
15. Both of them look amazing Rich. Congrats
16. http://www.myspace.com/rawbiznesentertainment Listen to "Caught Up". Not usually my kind of music, but damn, just listen to the playing on that song. Amazing groove and chops...and still it fits the genre. Absolutely amazing.
17. How do you think it sounds "off" Steve? I believe he used one on the recording. Thanks Mr Bay Splayer
18. I have both volumes of the Jamiroquai transcription books and I must say they are asbolutely superb. Fantastic work by Simon (who is also a member here). Highly recommended.
19. http://www.youtube.com/user/Higgie1423 Added "I Wish" and "Sledgehammer" to my Channel. I want to re-do the Sledgehammer vid because I'm not that happy with it - Just did it now but the lighting is terrible so you can't see much. I'll have to re-record tomorrow morning while its light
20. Well yeah obviously. But nothing that I added intentionally to make it sound any better
21. Thanks very much Chris I appreciate that coming from someone who predominantly plays fretless. Only effects I had on was a Mojohand Cream Pie overdrive set to minimum gain for a fattening of the clean tone, then into a Boss OC-2. No compression or anything else added, just recorded via webcam and then uploaded to YouTube
22. I posted this in the "Recordings" forum, but thought I'd post it here as well as it seemed appropriate for the thread Here's my take on the track mentioned above: Admittedly the intonation isn't perfect - I haven't had the fretless long and I'm still getting to grips with it. Also I don't know why the video and audio aren't in Sync. Not quite sure what to do to fix it so will have to leave it as is for now!!
23. Thanks mate, much appreciated I had to play very conciously indeed...The output on both my Stingrays is so hot it usually distorts the buffer in the OC-2 even in bypass if I dig in too much!
24.
So, your amp worked fine from plugged directly into your bass - but not when plugged through his [s]Heath Robinson[/s] Robinson Cruesoe setup . . . aaaand that's your amps fault? Right!
Fixed
25. Thanks Ped Haha sod off Steve
