1. Haha, I'm sure you'll get one eventually...My Dad had a 78 Stingray and it was GORGEOUS!! In other news, I went to pick this bad boy up today: It is facking LOVERLY Not sure on many of the details about this bass, but the seller tells me it's a 1994 CIJ '72 Re-Issue - Does anyone else own something similar and can comment on it? Cheers
2. Now on eBay: 151P
3. Does the Aguilar carry bag fit the head if it's in a chocolate thunder headcase?
4. Very catchy tune! I love the bass tone too. You definitely picked the right bass for the video All in all I think it looks very professional! Well done mate, got something to be proud of there!
5. Now look what you made me do! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=280390154478
6. I'll trade you my Montgomery Flanger for that MSD Wah....Oh wait...
7. Last I heard he was trying to sort out copyright protection so that he could sell each tab as a PDF.
8.
i would be very interested if i was a bit closer to manchester
How would that help? I'm in London And cheers Bubinga5, yeah the flame on the neck is gorgeous
9. Get both. Then grab a Stingray for good measure.
10. Just a feeler at present as I've seen a bass I would like to buy. Decent condition, couple of very minor scratches and dings. It was owned by Shockwave before I had it, so he can vouch for the quality of this bass. Comes with a Nordstrand 5.2 in it, i'll chuck in a Hiscox Liteflite case for an extra £40. More pics available to anyone interested. Would be looking at offers around the [s]£750[/s] £720 mark. Cheers
11. Everyday by Jamiroquai - and a few other Jamiroquai numbers like High Times, and Virtual Insanity. I like Everyday because it's such a slow groovy tune - with the low B in there it just sounds glorious!
12. Argh this is gorgeous. I really want a Jazz too. My last project ended up with Beedster, I just never get round to finishing them! This would've looked lovely with the body I had

Pedal power ...

I believe the Line 6 xx4 modeller pedals can run on either AC or DC. As long as it's getting 9V and enough mA, it should be fine.
14. Heh...Ironic. Will this be going on the project you bought from me Chris?
15.
PM'd
Hi mate, I didn't receive any PM? Could you send it again? Thanks James
16. The Q-Tron was my very first filter. I went through a bunch after that (Dod FX25, Chunk 00Funk, Maxon AF9, MXR Bass Auto Q, Boss AW-2, Digitech BSW to name a few) and I now own a Musitronics Mutron. If you can get one for under £300, grab it - You won't regret it. It's the fattest, greasiest, wettest filter but it's so musical too - Really hard to combine all those elements into a filter, but the Mutron passes with flying colours.
17.
Put a metronome on 40 bpm and practise clapping your hands perfectly in time so that the metronome clicks disappear. Alex
+1 Good exercise!
18.
Blimey he's a bit good! I have watched the first instalment (cheers BottomEndian) I'll look the rest up on You Tube when I get home from work. R
Yup, he's an absolute monster on fretless. Wait till you see the exercises he starts doing with 1 finger per fret going up and down the strings, and leaving each finger in the last place it played a note...absolutely killer when you get to the 3rd and 4th fingers! On a side note, I took my fretless out to the jam night the day after I got it, and played it live to an audience - It was like having my very first gig all over again, I was pooing myself! Got lots of positive comments afterwards though, and I didn't hear myself going out of tune. They were relatively simple songs that I know off by heart anyway, but I still wouldn't trust myself using it all night...the odd number maybe, but not exclusively!
19. Having just picked up my first fretless I'll be watching this thread with great interest. There is a Steve Bailey fretless instructional video that's split into parts on youtube (can't link now as it's blocked from where I am) but I was watching it the other night and it seemed like a good resource!
20. I contacted the user but received no reply also. I'm interested to see how it went too Matt, any luck?
