I played with Mike Casswell in South End that night, so couldn't have been me! Although I have been known to do simultaneous gigs using my Delorean, so I can't tell you until last sunday.

The fretless is a 1989 - It's in absolutely mint condition, and from the serial number I have deduced it was put together just a couple of months before I was born! It's nice to finally own a bass that's the same age as me

[/quote] Anyone noticed how the Aguilar cabs seem to have some sort of optical illusion? The top cab looks bigger than the bottom, but they are both exactly the same size. It's not just a camera trick either, they look that way in person! It always astounds me how side by side they are identical, whack one on top and all of a sudden the bottom one has shrunk! Edit: Actually ON TOPIC, they are the best cabs I've had the pleasure of using/owning. With the Ag500 it's an asbolutely killer rig.

I seem to remember him playing a downtuned 5er, so that would help with the string tension.

Sounds like he has low action to get a little fret buzz, a little bit of Overdrive in the first vid. New strings, scooped mids. That's about it really. Never been a fan of him or his playing. And yes, second vid is just root 5th octave.

The pickup is too far from the bridge to be an MM. Looks to me like a P Bass with a MM style humbucker.
