  1. I probably would be willing to drive a reasonable distance for the cost of petrol on this. I'm in Hull. It really depends on where you are. I could be tempted for a part ex with a Matamp 2x12 so I can get nearer to completing the rig of doom. Dave.
  2. Looking good! I think I need to put some Thunderbuckers on my Christmas list. I reckon a custom colour Jazzmaster bass would be a look great with them on............ Matching headstock.................Hipshot lolipops.........mmmmmmmmm.
  3. I think this ones going to be pick up only. I don't have a Jiffy bag big enough I'm afraid. I'm up in Hull, which is nice and handy for no one.
  4. I think all these bumps make up the majority of my post count.
  5. I've gigged a forty watt valve head and a single 1x15. It only just kept up with a loud drummer and two loud guitarists. It was only really for monitoring though. I upgraded to a Matamp gt200 and for it's first proper outing it was used as the bass rig for an all day festival and was on more or less full volume from 11am til 2am. Didn't miss a beat. Dave.
  6. Did I mention it was heavy?
  7. Good evening. It's a big heavy brute, but it is utterly amazing. There are a few rips and tears in the tolex. Nothing too dramatic though. I'll get piccies up this week. If you have a valve amp and a big car you really need this cab. These were over a grand new and are now discontinued. £450? That's only £6.25 a kilo. Cheaper than meat that is.
  8. That is a beautiful bass mate. I've always loved the Mosrite shape.
  9. Yes please Jigster. Thank you very much.
  10. I've had mine for fifteen years. I tend to play my Precisions more, but it's a brilliant bass. If you want one get one. You can always sell it later.
  11. Oh, and maybe I could be tempted with trades. I would be interested in Gibson Thunberbirds, an early sixties ebo or something weird and wonderful. I have been drooling over the Fano on these hallowed pages. Try me, I can only say no.
  12. Bump. Plenty of interest but no buyer yet. I'll be gigging in Islington on the 4th of January if anybody in that neck of the woods wants to come have a try. I'll even let you buy me a beer.
  13. [attachment=149987:image (24).jpeg] I have been a bad man. With one the walls shook. Now the floor also shakes. My name is Dave, and i`m an addict.
  14. Cheers Scrubnut. BUMP!
  15. Hi everybody. I'm thinking of getting a Stagg edb in the new year. I've seen some good reviews and it fits my budget. I would like to get a bow, but I've no idea what I should be looking for. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Dave.
  16. Yeah, I'll get some pics sorted if you want me to email them to you? It's definitely a player grade instrument. Rosewood fretboard, the obligatory added jazz pickup, stripped finish, non original pickguard, jack and strap locks. Sounds glorious though.
  17. You should keep your eyes peeled for an old Orange or Matamp slave. They are pretty cheap too.
  18. Have a look at Mojo pickups too. I've had some great service from Marc.
  19. Bump. Happy to answer questions and field offers.
