  1. My terrible pictures really don't do it justice
  2. Hi people, my collection has recently grown and due to a house move I'm trying to be good and reduce it. So putting the feelers out to see if there's any interest in this stunning bass. It's a fibenare globe bass. If like myself (until I did some research) you've never heard of them, they are completely hand made in Hungary by 3 brothers. They make every single part in house (apart from the gotoh tuners) and it is of the highest quality. This was made in 2014 and had an original price of over £4k! Absolutely stunning woods throughout, alder body, burled top and flamed neck. The pickups are dual coil and split series/single/parallel and sound fantastic. It has a active passive push pull vol control and a 3 band eq. There is a low battery led on the rear cavity cover. 24 frets and adjustable string spacing (18mm currently) and a very very fast and easy to play shallow neck. Very good condition, a few marks as shown and some light scratches that won't photo. Comes with a perfectly fitted hardcase and will come with the original gold control knobs. Weight is approx 9.5 lbs and it balances perfectly. This is a really stunning bass that is amazing to look at but has the tone and playability to match. Cash sale and collection preferred, may take a part trade if I could sell it on easily enough. Will travel up to an hour if it helps a meet up. Any questions pm me
  3. Yeah it's approx 10.85lbs
  4. Price dropped and happy to post this next day for £20 in a box and bubble wrap using parcelforce 24hr (at buyers risk, however I've sent lots of basses with no issues)
  5. Hey people, due to a house move and buying too many basses recently (if there is such a thing?!) I've decided to part ways with this stunning spector. It sounds fantastic with the tone pump preamp and bartolini dual coil pickups. It's very fast thanks to the 17mm ish string spacing and has such a punchy tone. Condition wise it's very good, there are a couple of very small marks that I've tried to show and some very light surface scratches that are almost impossible to see/photo. Serial number dates it as a 2018 onwards bass. Weight is approx 10.05lbs using my eBay special scales so give or take. Comes with the fitted spector hardcase which is good condition apart from a few small nicks. Collection or a meet up preferred however I have a decent box and can wrap it well if a buyer wants to organise postage. May consider a trade/part ex if its something that I could sell on easily enough any other questions just pm me. Thanks

  6. My newest edition to the collection is this beauty! Bought blind online and must say I'm impressed, it has a ridiculous tone that is so clear and cuts through so well. My only gripe is that the neck is quite deep up towards the first few frets especially compared to my lakland, but a minor issue 😁
  7. Sweet baby jesus of suburbia that's a nice P!
  8. This was mine for a little while and it is a stunning bass! Very generous price as well Andy. Trying very hard to not make another impulse bass buy this month...
  9. In all honesty I'd imagine this is nowhere near one of their custom shop instruments, however it's a very very nice bass for the money. They're made in Indonesia, probably (I assume!) in a factory that makes many other brands. The burl top as far as I know is a veneer/actual wood and not a graphic. It's a lovely bass that is great as is, or would be a brilliant base for modding. I planned to fit an East pre and some dimarzio pickups along with some gotoh tuners. However a house move and too many impulse buys have put an end to my plans 😂
  10. Although the bridge saddles have a grub screw, the spacing isn't adjustable as the saddles are the same width as the gaps. Seems like a terrible design 😂 I'm sure one of the ebay bridges would be a cheap way of getting string spacing adjustment
  11. After a recent purchase and after ALOT of contemplating, I've decided to see if there is any interest in my lakland 55 14. This is a 2016 USA made classic series bass. These basses are amazing and have one of the nicest necks available on any bass. It has birdseye maple fret markers which is a lovely touch. It has one of the best B strings in the business with amazing clarity thanks to the 35" scale and ultra solid neck. It plays perfectly and I'm really unsure on selling it so may withdraw it at any point. The only marks are on the rear of the body. There is one chip near the neck bolts and the lower left neck bolt surrounding finish has a small crack. There is also a chip and a small lift in the finish by the control cavity cover, it's been like this the two years I've owned it and not got any worse. Other than that, it's excellent condition. Comes with a pickguard and homemade ramp. Any more questions just ask. Collection is massively preferable due to the value of this however a handover or postage are always options. I will consider trades as long as its about 50/50 split of bass/cash and something that I could sell on. Will listen to sensible offers. Fantastic bass that I know I'll miss, treat yourself before it's to late! **weight is approx 9.2lbs using my eBay luggage scales so give or take
  12. Yeah as best I can measure its 17mm
  13. I'll double check when I'm home but it's on the narrower side, I believe 17mm but will update you
  14. Due to downsizing the collection decided to part ways with this bc rich mockingbird plus 5 string. Bass sounds and plays great. Very light at approx 7.7 lbs. There is a few small marks and a small finish crack in the neck pocket. I have also moved the strap pins to help with balance so there are a few extra holes! Collection preferred however may consider posting or meeting half way. Thanks
  15. Hi, due to moving to playing only 5 string basses I've decided to sell my lakland 44 02 skyline. These basses are phenomenal and can provide so many useful tones due to the pickup/preamp options. Fantastic neck like most laklands which is really comfortable. Weighs 9.5 lbs. Few marks to the headstock and some light surface scratches to the rear which are very hard to photograph. Collection preferred however may be able to meet up or post. Any further information just ask. Thanks

  16. It's gen2 with the rolled board and satin neck, not the gen2 revision with round bridge saddles
  17. Hi mate, yeah I emailed Chris at overwater when I got it for some info. He said the evolution was a fairly short run of basses that became the progress. Its a mahogany body, 5pc maple/mahogany neck, rosewood board and birdseye maple top. String spacing is currently 18mm however its adjustable. It's a 35" scale. I'm unsure of radius however it feels very flat to me and is very quick. I'll dig out the scales and weigh it ASAP
  18. Yeah the cavity itself is a work of art 😂. Shows the care and attention the overwater guys must have for their instruments
  19. Hey everyone, due to moving house I'm having a downsize of my collection! Here for sale is my 2007 overwater evolution 5 string. It's a stunning bass with a birdseye maple top and matched headstock. This is fitted from factory with Kent Armstrong pickups and an East/overwater preamp. I recently had a new genuine overwater nut fitted and she plays great. I love this bass however my lakland is my main go to so this needs to go. There are marks from use and a small bit of damage near the xlr socket - I've tried to picture everything however feel free to ask if better pictures are wanted. The truss rod nut is slightly rounded on the outer end however still works fine and the bass will also come with a genuine overwater replacement that just needs fitting. I haven't done it as the bass is currently set up fine. I haven't used the xlr output however I assume it works fine. Comes with original overwater hiscox hardcase which has some tape on a hinge and a previous owners name painted on it lol however functions perfectly as a decent case! Any questions pm me. Ideally collection or meet up and ideally cash sale. Trades may be considered if its a 5 string thumb bass or something I could sell on easily enough thanks
  20. Choice of knob included
  21. Hi everyone due to a pending house move I'm downsizing my collection. This is my sire v7 5 string. It's in excellent condition and plays and sounds fantastic. I bought this as I was curious about the hype and can say it definitely deserves it. Probably the best bass you can get for this price. Version 2 so has the rolled fingerboard, satin neck and wooden battery cover. Super flexible preamp and can also be used passive. Any more info please ask. Collection preferred but could post at buyers risk and cost or possible meet up. Thanks
  22. Hi everyone due to a pending house move I'm downsizing my collection. This is my fernandes mockingbird bass, I believe its from the early 90's but could be wrong! Has some scratches and holes from moved strap buttons. It plays great and sounds brilliant. The controls are volume volume tone with a 3 way pickup selector switch. The neck volume pot needs replacing as it turns past 360 degrees however still works. Collection preferred or can post/meet. Any questions just pm me No
  23. Agreed, lovely looking bass but appears to be about 2kg overweight haha!
  24. Yeah I can see it being a awkward live especially with poor lighting. I've used the sadowsky and East pre amps and both are great, the tone control was a personal favourite!
  25. I picked up a version 2 V7 a few weeks ago as I've heard many good things and was very curious. IMHO it's a stunning bass even before you consider how little they cost (I paid £350 mint condition). I fully agree that the control plate is very busy and the controls are abit too close, although I think the stock preamp sounds great and is very useable. I don't think much would be gained by swapping it, it may make it sound different which some people would interpret as better, however it sounds like a jazz bass with the option of active eq. What's not to like?! 😁
