    Yes - suits you sir! Thanks for the above comments, it is quite pretty and also has the distinction of sounding big and fat even through my compact set up. Still open for some trade options, I've got a rare week off next week and could do a meet up :-)

    I've only had this bass for a matter of weeks and unfortunately we're not bonding as well as I'd hoped. I've had a dabble with Ricks before and thought this would fit in well with the new band situation but unfortunately I'm more of a Musicman/Fender guy and don't really know how to get this to work for me. So.....to cut a long story short I'm looking for a suitable trade, I'd consider the following: 4 Strings only Custom shop Fender Jazz Musicman Classic Ray Rick 4003 (2011 or newer) Status Stealth 2 I'm open to other suggestions - I can only say no. Regarding the bass; well it's in completely mint condition as is the case - what more can I say i.e. the beautiful Jetglo finish is completely utterly and totally unmarked. If you're looking at this ad you know how much these cost so I'm putting a trade value of £1500 on the bass but for cash I'd look at £1450. No overseas - sorry. At a push I will post but courier will have to be arranged by the buyer BUT i'd rather do a meet so the buyer gets to see before acquiring. Anyway (hopefully) here's some iPhone 5 pics....... .......well yes but unfortunately the anti-gravity seems to be turned on. But you get the idea!

[/quote] Sorry to be pedantic but I thought you meant a physical dislocation of the neck join...not a 'folding up' due to structural weakness caused by excessive routing. In this case it isn't the joint that's at fault but the integrity of the neck through block itself ;-)

    .......and relax. I'd be surprised if the neck join has anythng to do with the relief/action - never heard of this being a weak spot. If anything it should be better than a bolt-on. If there's still a bit of relief in the neck slowly wind it down using the rods.....it's hard to bugger anything up on a 4003 unlike the 4001 - just make sure you apply equal turns to each rod. Regarding the ding, either pay a lot of money to a good restorer or learn to live with it - it doesn't look too bad and I'd be surprised if it knocks the value of the bass much.

That's how I hear them. [/quote] Depends which Rick..... My 4004 sounds very like a 4003 with added bottom end on the bridge pup and very beefy on the neck pup solo'd. Both pups is, well....different!

    Same here, swapped out the piece of crap tuners in my Squier P with chrome open geared. Good tuners, good price.

    I'm just going up Sheffield now James, need to go to look at Audis with the missus. She has more expensive taste in cars than I do in basses......well maybe not. Honestly though mate I daren't, it would be lust at first site and I'd be selling basses/trashing the bank account.

    Don't tempt me J, don't tempt me! I'm really missing my 75RI - the Rick that replaced it is awesome but I didn't realise how much I'd miss having a Jazz in the house.
