Guess we all have to do the fretless thing at some point hey Neil? Some of us are daft enough to have tried it twice (my go for #3 at some point). Bump for a great bass - also it's got an ebony FB like a proper fretless should have (?). Feel we've got to big up the Warwicks for the w/end

I can confirm this is a very nice bass (helped to build it me'self) and Pete is a more than straight up guy to deal with. Anyone who hasn't had a go with a fretless graphite neck needs to at least once in their bass playing career - sub millimetre action (joke) and almost never needs adjusting. It's definitely originally a MIM2001 - I took the original (fretless) neck off - subsequently sold to Road Dog. Good luck with the sale, Mart

I've got my eye on something over this easter madness so I'm bumping down to the ridiculously low price of £550 There must be some Warwick love on here somewhere?

Well, what can I say, I love this bass. Cracking sound and love the feel of the natural wood. I GASSED for one of these for ages and I've really tried to get used to it in a gigging situation but swapping between jazz and P type and this causes me grief. Its a 2006 build in mint condition and owned by me since early last year. It's been regularly waxed and pampered and not overly gigged. Comes with Warwick gig bag (so collection only - sorry no posting) and the normal (excellent) Warwick owners pack (minus about 1/4 tin of wax). Ideally I'd like to trade this for a Jazz type, Fender MIA or Lakky Skyline JO/DJ (or even BG) - would consider throwing in some cash against the right bass. 4 strings only (I have enough bother with my DJ5). For straight sale I'd like to get as close to £580 as poss, but enjoy the fun of negotiation Pics below:

Hope that works out for you Nick. I played a Charity gig with the DJ5 last night - had to go straight into the desk, hardly heard a bloody note all night. Could have sworn on a few occasions I was on the 'wrong' string - nobody seemed to notice. Is that a reflection on my playing or does no one listen to the bass

Cheers Rich. This really is a toughy and I could still easily bail and let this become a 'bedroom bass' as I really don't need a 5er for the work I do. The only reason I got a 5 was so I wasn't embarrassed when I turn up at a jam night when there's only a 5 available. It's the 'prettiest, bass I think I've owned and got a killer tone. I think the 35" really contributes to that but also contributes to my hand strain.

Maybe the 35", maybe the wide string spacing, maybe the extra string - dunno, just not getting it. It's a Maple neck black sparkle 2007 build, in about as perfect a condition as it gets (only been out of the house twice and never gigged). The pictures show a white/black/white pg, this has been swapped out with a black/white/black which looks much better to my eyes but the original would be included. Build is stock with (I believe) Lakland OEM Pups - original electronics - no mods. HSC courtesy of Gator - also without a mark.
