  1. Cheers Dave, much appreciated. The sound engineers did a great job at this one.
  2. Two cracking gigs over the weekend with Glam Fever. First up on the Friday evening, a national bikers rally event at the Royal Cheshire showground near Knutsford. Although we were the first band on the marquee was pretty full (a few hundred) and the crowd were pretty much on their feet from the start. A cracking 90 minute set with 2 encores - we look forward to returning next year. Second, at a very nice club in Sleaford, South Lincs. We were pretty knackered from the day before but the crowd were brilliant and were on their feet from the first song in the first set to the last song in the second set. Wish all weekends were like this!
  3. Probably not Dan, you’ll have to satisfy yourself with the charcoal on yer toast
  4. Reproduction - The Human League Unknown Pleasures - Joy Division This Mortal Coil - It'll end in tears Young Marble Giants - Colossal Youth OMD - Architecture and Morality Bowie - Station to Station
  5. Ditto. Some gigs I do for love and enjoyment - some I look at as a paid practice. The money goes in a pot towards something desirable, that thought helps at the grimmer gigs.
  6. That's a great price on one of these - I really wish I could justify it. GLWTS
  7. I get the 'Iggle Piggle' song stuck in my head..........nearly as bad as Peppa.
  8. ...well that ain’t what I’m playing lol. Then again we’ve keyed it down and I ain’t going 5 string on it! Might have to use the Rick instead of my usual Mustang....
  9. I hope you’re being ironicalistic on that...just about to bring that into the Glam set and I feel my fingers are gonna melt by the end.....
  10. Can’t be completely sure Danny but I believe the finish on my roasted neck is standard oil/wax, the lacquer is on the headstock only. I don’t mind the oil wax on mine as the board is ebony not maple.
  11. For some reason I don’t mind it so much on my roasted neck PDN that has an ebony board but maple/maple - I agree with you. I think gloss is standard on the classics but then you end up with the slab body?
  12. Great to have my Sterling back after its visit to Mr Shuker. I wasn’t keen on the bland neck (maple board wax/oil jobbie) so after a conversation with DeeDee the bass was taken into the heart of the Peak District. Very happy with the work, a nice vintage tint gloss and stainless frets - looks awesome.
  13. Very nice and would be just the job, sadly wont fit the MW due to the humbucker.
  14. Thanks for the thread guys. I'm currently happy with the pg on my 1999-2002 CIJ Mustang but would really like a replacement for my Mikey Way sig, it could do with blinging up from the b/w/b.
  15. Nothing mate, free to a good home. Pm me your address
  16. The bass is a shrunken Precision and the ‘wig’ really is John’s hair...
  17. Sorry but I couldn’t face putting it on....too many painful memories. Here it is adorning a forlorn Mustang. Oh the shame....
  18. I'm afraid that it was so hideous that it never made it to a gig.....I will don once more for posterity and photo taking though so you can see what you're letting yourself in for
  19. H......I've got a JD wig that I'm not using in Glam Fever - It's seriously hideous.
  20. Not so much. If it's a rosewood board (or pau ferro or the like) I'd give it a little lemon oil if it looks dry, other than that nothing at all.
  21. Ahh......it'll be going back then?
  22. Hope you have a succession plan Chris or it'll be chaos I tell you, CHAOS!
  23. The band on that page was an earlier incarnation. The bass player left due to health reasons and I went in as a dep over 2 years ago and somehow never left lol 😂. The GF live page was put together from about 12 months back and other than wig changes the line up is the same (oh and I’m no longer a Bay City Roller in the second set).
  24. We do Dave, it’s Glam Fever Live. Let me know if you’re set up on FB. I know you’ll enjoy it as much as we do, it’s good to be in a band where you don’t have to take yourself too seriously - quite hard anyway when you’re dancing about wearing a flashing police helmet. We don’t have anything set up north of the border, but may look at a ‘mini tour’ at some point.
  25. Ahhhh, the bitter sting of the 'disappointed look'. The doghouse for you m'lad.
