1.
I'm hooked on 33.3" scale now - big money option though as I only know of Jens Ritter that makes them!
Rickenbacker is 33".................I'll get my coat.
2. Yes you are the only one......I'm assuming your question wasn't rhetorical?
3. Currently hankering after a Fender RW Jazz in Red. I've recently rekindled my love of Jazzes and this would do until I won the lottery and could afford a 63 Jazz.....
4.
I've ordered one today - so we'll see how we get on.....
I'd keep hold of the original Ric bridge tho SB just in case you decide to sell up at some point. For some reason Ric owners can be a bit touchy about replacement bits ;-)
5.
Very sorry to hear you aren't getting on with the Rick, Muzz. Are you sure you're nut being a bit too hasty to judge? I've been in exactly the situation with basses I have bought sight-unseen, and some of them have grown on me over time, to the extent that I wouldn't part with them now.
+1 My first 4003 went back after 2 weeks because I didn't get on with it (ie. it was too different from my Fenders/Musicmen...). A couple of years on and I acquired the same bass via a convoluted route. It's not my go to bass but I do love it on those 'special occasion' gigs.
6.
It sounds like you might need more speakers....
Adding an extension 2x10 traveller or 1x12 NYC will make a BIG difference....
7. Love my MD 4003 - great colour, would like one of those Walnutty jobbies though...
8.
Whatever I happen to be selling always seems to be out of fashion / no longer favour of the month. I seem to be a trendsetter in reverse
We must be related Mike!!!
9. Hi Chris, Rotherham just off J1 of the M18. Also happy to do a part way meet up if helpful....
10. Pics now added!!! Still £350, postage not offered but will meet up within a reasonable distance for fuel contribution :-)
11.
What's the weight of this one?
Think they're all around 7lbs....none of that pesky variable wood to interfere with the uniformity of design specs.
12. According to the forum guys (I know, I know), it's about the same weight or a little less than a standard 4003. I don't usually like the look of natural basses but this does look nice.
13. You're not wrong Rich. I always say to people don't ever buy something I buy even if it's great and the most popular thing going because as soon as I buy one it goes out of fashion lol. As you know mate these are great cabs, certainly the best sounding and loudest 115 I've ever come across - and did I mention it was superlight? This one's mint and looking for a loving new owner. If I had the space (and the money) for a super compact to pair it with it wouldn't have been going. Having said that I'm happy with my mini MarkBass 2 x NY121 rig, keeping the compact as well would be just greedy (and be the cause of serious earache from the other half!).
14. One final reduction for this mint Compact to £350 - no haggling please. Collection or close meet up only. Trades above still considered but my requirement for a head is no longer the case.
15.
MB1.
Love it...
16. So just £75 for this mint mandocaster with strap and (nearly complete) set of spare strings.
17. I think the acronym is BUGGER. I occasionally think about selling mine, then I come to my senses.....
