Yes indeed. A friend of mine was a really good guitarist. Recording tracks would take him months, sometimes even years to reach a point where he was happy with them. Seriously. He eventually made himself mentally ill with the pressure he put on himself and hasn't played for nearly 6 years now, and has sold all his gear. It's supposed to be fun, isn't it?

Same here. I do walk about playing occasionally, but I'm up on my hind legs all day at work so sitting is favoured. Plus... I practise along to stuff on my PC - rehearsal files, youtube, guitar pro etc. so it makes sense to be right on front of it...

Yup. It's odd... he's certainly earned the right do whatever the hell he likes and then some, but some of his performances have been a tad lacking of late. I'm not going to presume to tell him to jack it in or owt, but it's sometimes a bit sad to see an artist of his calibre going downhill.... but then, I guess it reminds us of our own transience, which isn't always a bad thing.... *ponders* 🤔
