I wouldn't write them off because they were late once. Sh!t happens. If they're regularly late, then yeah.... Can you live with a bit a lateness if the material/musicianship/personalities are good? Our singer always turns up at least 40 minute after the rest of us, but by then we've had a jam and often got some ideas cooking. Or would you rather play with a bunch of punctual idiots with crap songs? 😝 Personally I'd give it another go and take it from there - problems tend to rear their heads fairly early. You'll know soon, I reckon...

I work in aerospace supply chain, so I'm probably going to get the bullet soon. There are already 80 redundancies on the way - about a third of the factory's permanent workforce. I'll take whatever job is available after that. I'm in West Cornwall and jobs are in short supply. The good news is that if I do get made redundant I'll have enough wonga to pay off my mortgage with a few grand left over.

Well... I watched a live Police set on Saturday night on the t00bz and was sufficiently motivated by it to start learning some of the back catalogue. Just got Message In A Bottle nailed. Probably have a go at So Lonely tomorrow.

Yes, it was the B and top E that concerned me... what gauges can I get away with? Status do custom sets - I could get 105, 85, 65, 45 as normal... then maybe 30 and 20 for B and top E? That was my thinking, but I was unsure if I was about to step into 'rookie error' territory..... 😶
