  1. People can do what they want, I guess. However, it seems to me to be a shame when an act turns into an insipid, cover version of its former self. I've never courted fame, but I think I'd like to be remembered for what I was at the height of my powers rather than a shambling, incapable old fart with no integrity, that's purely interested in the cash. That said, each to their own.
  2. Not bad at all. Not sure I like it enough to part with my hard-earned though. IMO the best Motley Crue album was the one that Corabi was on, maybe because it didn't sound like Motley Crue. Vince Neil has always sounded to me like Marge Simpson.
  3. Thank you, good sir. I shall investigate!
  4. Probs a dumb question, but.... as a non-TV owner can I do this on a PC?
  5. This looks great - thanks for the heads-up! 👍
  6. Price drop bump £40
  7. Price drop bump £110
  8. John Denver - Annie's Dong Apt for 2023, some may say....
  9. One more facelift and she's gonna have a beard!
  10. People turn up in droves for a laptop. Such are the times.... *shrug*
  11. Amen. This is why I always make sure I can play a fast song at least 10% faster than the normal speed. Thank goodness for Guitar Pro!
  12. Tried it in my first originals band. The drummer was at the initial stages of a bunch of mental issues and would completely lose his rag if he came out of a fill slightly off time, lay the boot into his kit, and storm off to his bedroom. The band imploded shortly after. Rehearsed to clicks with other bands and that worked well in that it made people aware of looseness of certain parts and changes. Worth doing IMO, but not to the extent of being a slave to it. Music has its ebbs and flows.

  18. Should have called the book "For The Love of Ged"
  19. This. Time is the thing you will never get back. If they don't have time to rehearse then you don't have time to be in their band. Onwards and upwards.
  20. I'd love that - mobile phones have killed pub quizzes. Unfortunately I think it's illegal, as well as difficult to confine to a specific area without fancy, expensive gear.
  21. I see forums as a different animal, but not everyone will. I was on forums long before FB etc. were a thing. Social Media like FB (as I see it) tend to want real names etc. and a certain level of authenticity even if they don't get it. I can't speak about Instagram et al as I've never been on 'em.
  22. This just turned up on my YouTube suggestions....
  23. His surname is Frankenstein....
  24. Vlad, Donny, Kimbo and a surprisingly sprightly Liz noodling it up...
  25. Personally, I love a bit of Rush, particularly up to Counterparts. The later stuff didn't really appeal so much. I like the punchy, melodic basslines and the prominence bass had in their sound, but it sure ain't going to appeal to the more conservative bass aficionados. That's what made them stick out, I guess. Horses for courses.
