  1. Hot damn! There's some serious 4string goodness right there!
  2. I'm pondering a wireless system. I gather Line 6 Relay G50 is pretty good....
  3. I love me a bit of twang. Don't often get to use it that much in the rock n roll band I'm in. I get hard stares if I try too much twangage.
  4. Great for a six year old kid who likes dungeons and dragons....
  5. Symphony X or maybe Tool or even Dream Theater... but I'd need to up my game for that!...
  6. Can't go wrong with GAK. I've had top service every time. I look there first these days.
  7. Nice! Chuck has a rather fine taste in shirts too!
  8. Known John for years. Top bloke, and a cracking bassist too. Dude knows what he's doing.
  9. Hi Doug. Another Cornwall boy here! Welcome!
  10. Dear God, what the hell did I just see?...
  11. That's disgraceful. You did the right thing, Thunderbird. Looks like Reidy's are best avoided.
  12. I always though EVH was a bit of a pillock even though he's a great guitarist. I thought Hagar was a better singer than Roth, but Roth was a better frontman. Yet I preferred Roth's solo stuff on Eat Em And Smile and Skyscraper to anything Van Halen ever did. So... um... yeah.... *shrug*
  13. St. Day Beer and Music Fest yesterday. Had an hour slot, got to get the Big Twin II out and pump some thunder. Good set, went down really well!
  14. ^^^^ Haha epic! We turned up at a pub in Hayle once during a football World Cup. Everyone wanted to watch the game, so the landlord gave us our money and we went straight back to HQ and got some beers in. I can live with that....
  15. BF all the way. Just got me a Super Midget yesterday for smaller gigs and used it last night - it kicks out bass like a boss and weighs very little. A mate of mine has the Super Compact and that shakes his house - maybe that would do it for you? Should cover all bases (fnar!!) for average sized gigs... Just looked at the Big Baby and yeah, that looks great too. Decisions... aargh!!
  16. Not recently, but it happened a few years ago. We turned up to a pub in St. Austell, the landlord denied ever making a booking and told us to go. As we left, a couple of young lads were carrying record decks in - it turned out that the landlord was taking the money from the brewery for a band, getting a couple of kids on decks for £50 and pocketing a nice £150 difference. Tosser.
  17. Not yet, due to heavy gigging commitments, but it's near the top of the list for a few months time.
  18. There's been a couple of Genz-Benz Streamliner 900s on here recently for around £400. One of them'll do you proud. Bags of headroom and plenty of options. That's what I use with my BF gear.
  19. Hi there. Welcome to BC.
  20. In my current band I only had three rehearsals before the first gig - all without a drummer. Rehearsing without a drummer is still better than not rehearsing at all IMO.
  21. Sweaty gig in The Ship in Mevagissey, with four of us in a space the size of a shoe box. Went down well though
