1. Always been 3 for me. A Precision Bass A Jazz Bass An active bass Any more would be indulgence for my needs so that keeps the GAS away. But of course, if I had more space and money there'd be a fretless Jazz, a 5 string Mike Lull PJ and a 1978 Music Man Sabre.
 2. I'm downsizing my guitar pedalboard so need a smaller delay, I'm pretty gutted to be selling this pedal as its capabilities are huge, but my guitar playing is quite different these days and this is too much and too big for my new set up. I've sold the other pedals I'm no longer using, been keeping hold of this one but its time to let go!! It's got a super tough metal casing with lots of marks, but the pedal and switches and in perfect working order, this one is built like a tank. You can save 3 presets and it has a 15 second loop function. These model all the classic analogue and tape delays, with a bit if digital to chose from too. Some of the tones are outrageously good and t ons of fun. 3.
Can I just say I promise this isnt me with a different account
Can I just say that you've wasted all your hard earned cash and should have bought an OLP
 4. I used to get an incredible sound out of my 1978 4001 with flats and through a monster valve amp, it was pure bliss playing that. I sold a Ric to a top notch session player back in the 90's, he prefered Jazz Basses but Richard Ashcroft said he had to use a Ric as he loved the tone. Im not saying Mr Ashcroft is an authority on bass sounds, NONE OF US ARE, just that Ric's clearly have their place as with any other bass that has been used by pro's consistently and with great exposure. Obviously.
 5.
PM'd
Get in there Ian!!! Great price for a very cool bass, absolutely love my Lull.
 6. A quick note to say that I've had good experiences with Cyril. He just missed out on a Modulus bass I was selling last year, but I later hooked him up with Seni and they did a deal together on a Modulus I had previously sold Seni. The whole time Cyril was a great guy to chat to and very genuine. SD pickup. Aguilar preamp and Badass bridge, so you can't go wrong here! Good luck with the sale mate.
 7.
I GOT IT BACK!!! It just arrived. It's really made my day! I haven't played fretless for ages so now the hard work begins again on intonation.

I am buying it back again next week! Result!
Congrats fella's!!!!
 8. I forgot to mention, the soldering on the tone looks original. That wouldn't be the case if it was refinished.
 9. This is my old bass, I sold it back in 2008. I had absolutely no reason to believe that it was not original, I also had it for sale at NKR Vintage Guitar Emporium, they too obviously had no doubts about it. The neck pocket looks fine, I know Helder has concerns about the paint in the pocket, notably in the sides. It is common for these to look like that, just check Google images or vintage dealers sites. Of course, it is worth remembering that fender back than often had variations, dispcrepencies and at times inconsistency. You can never always tell if a body is original to a neck. But with these in the condition they are in, and with the parts all looking absolutely legit, it would be unlikely that these don't belong together. These basses have a thick poly lacquer, therefore if they are well cared for and played with a strap above someone's belt you won't find much wear on the neck or body. This too is very common. One pot has been changed, I did that because the original was broken and not fixable, the original was included in the sale. I remember the bass being clean and well looked after. I liked it a lot, and only sold it among a few others when I bought my original 1964 Precision. Hope this helps.
 10.
I've pared back and simplified my board to suit my needs now so here you go! This is a rough layout trial and nothing's velcro'd down in this pic. Signal path is: Tuner into VT Bass Deluxe into Cali76 Compressor. Simple but effective (see what I did there!)
Nice! Do you not find that the TU2 sucks out some tone? Could be worth taking the signal to it from the VT parallel output if so,my TU2 is a tone killer.
 11. Avoid superglue guys, wood glue has its purpose.
 12. Seen that on a few guitars, not a huge issue I reckon. Get some wood glue into a syringe, inject it in and clamp it. It'll be tough as old boots after that.

Blue
Not sure I'm with you there from a personal point of view. it's quality over quantity, one door opened for me, it was a good one and my life has more meaning now and purpose in a wider context.
 14. Health issues. However one door closes, another opens, and life moves on. I've been lucky, that the opening door had some good stuff behind it.
 15.
I've got news for you - it still is!!
Sweet! Where's my sleeping bag.....
 16. Looks like a cool venue, great to see the pics. I spent a couple of months sleeping in that basement back in 2006, it was a partially flooded stinking mess of a place back then - nice to see its got a proper purpose now.

 18. Up for sale is a killer 'players' Telecaster, made in 1977. This isn't a trebly twangy Tele, it's got some balls to go along with the great clean tones typical of a Tele. It's super comfortable, has a gorgeous neck, not like the ones often found on the post 1978 Tele's that were clubby and unshapely, this Tele plays sweetly. It's not a backbreaking typical 70's Fender - weighs in at a nice 8.07lbs. Comes with:

Fender Custom Shop Twisted Tele pickups - ORIGINAL PICKUPS ARE INCLUDED IN THE SALE
Kluson Machine Heads - ORIGINAL MACHINE HEADS ARE INCLUDED IN THE SALE
Custom Shop 4 way selector switch - allows the neck and bridge pick up to be used in series, like a humbucker - very cool.
Hiscox STD-EF hard case, with key.
The pots have been changed over the years and three of the rear string ferrules have been replaced (The metal bits on the back, where the strings go into the body). Truss rod, neck and everything are functioning as they should. This is a great workhorse of a guitar, 38 years worth of playing and natural relicing, plus it's cheaper than a new Fender USA reissue. 19.
YAS, I have my lost dog back with me!
Nice one! Was it the Epi LP Bass? How did you do it...cash, blackmail, murder???.
 20. Reasoning 1) A good Jazz Bass is a good Jazz Bass, so easily replaceable. It's typical for players to return to a Jazz or P after a period of time, though of course not always. Reasoning 2 ) If you're sentimental and ever return to a Jazz Bass after selling it.... Basses are just wood, there are tons out there. But there is only one that perhaps means something to you - if you're that kind of guy. From experience, I've moved on and sold my sentimental ones for required upgrades needed or wanted at the time. Sure, it'd be fun to have them back if I had the cash, but I don't lose any sleep over it. But, like Howie said, nowt wrong with keeping it to be sentimental.
