Though a truss adjustment will affect the action, you’re best off setting the truss to how you want the neck, then adjusting the saddles. If the saddles are at the lowest, try a neck shim if you’re happy to go that route on a new bass - some people will, some won’t. Most of all, are you sure the truss is actually working fine?

Those prices contribute to why I just withdrew my Special from the market place today - it’s a great bass that I bought new in ‘18 so I might as well keep hold now for a rainy day, as for me a new one has got well out of reach. Good score on the TC, love that it’s passive and hope you do a NBD 👍

I hear that 👍

I’m on a bass cull, and it just occurred to me the 3 I’m keeping were all once sold and then bought back my me. One was sold during a rough period, one best described as sold to fund a family emergency, and one because I was buying back an old vintage bass (the irony) but got that decision wrong. Best of the bunch to get back is the ‘95 Ray I grew up on, found again about 12 years after I sold it during a tough time. 2 came back from the bassist I sold them to, my beloved ‘95 Ray after years of failed emails and eBay searching, finally saw it on eBay and pounced. What are your tales?

Reminds me of those black and gold Raleigh BMXs from the 80s.

Does this look like a £2k relic?

Nah, Keef is the real deal, relic’s are more like a good bit of make believe... 😀 -

Oh dear... 😬 -
@steerpike65Simon just visited to buy my Bravewood Jazz - not an easy bass to let go of, so glad it went to one of the good guys. We’d been communicating for some time, while I decided whether or not to sell, and all the time Simon was friendly and easy going. Highly recommend guy to deal with. Enjoy the bass 👍

Not an easy choice, completely different animals in terms of tone and feel (aside from the obvious that one is a 5er 😂). But both will be a great purchase for sure.

Not when I have one in the classifieds for under £2k 😂😂😂 Seriously, they are top notch.

If you trace the string back to the bridge saddles, it looks like it’s perhaps had a restring but they haven’t lined up the strings properly on the saddle slots. Could be a bit of camera angle too 👍

If you need space, I’ve got a huge crush on that sunburst 62 type... 😍😍😍

Those are some tasty basses in your signature, wonder if that ‘high end appreciation’ will have you drawn to the US ones? Unfortunately always happens to me 😂

My second interaction with Brian, sold him a pickup in a another friendly and easy going transaction 🙂

Do you have a supportive partner and is it important?
Chiliwailer replied to Cat Burrito's topic in General Discussion
My wife just has to put up with my GAS and BC, and she does pretty well to be fair, often encouraging me when I’m not sure to buy. I stopped playing out in around 2008 due to a chronic health issue. At the time my then partner was upset saying ‘because of your health you burn yourself out playing, and all I get is what’s left of you after’. Because I was so driven to play and struggling with the life changes occurring, her words didn’t mean much to me, especially as we were growing apart anyway. But I get it now, and fair enough to her - I would never do that to my lovely wife, even if she said she was fine with it. -

I doubt it’ll be for a while, but I’d not give up hope that one day I’ll find that Jazz that feels like a keeper. I love what a Jazz can do, just can’t find one that speaks to me like my old ‘64 did - I sold it to help buy my flat 🤨
