1.
Here's another new Chilis song. It's low key but I like it. http://youtu.be/5w4d_mmJOGM
Cheers Miles
 2. Here is a bass that may divide opinion, so apologies to those whom it may offend. More explained here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/285635-am-i-the-only-one-that-gets-annoyed-by-adverts-for-fake-fenders/ Yes, it has a replica 1970's Fender logo on the headstock, but it's really a Squier Standard Jazz Bass, upgraded with DiMarzio Model J - DP123's which sound blooming lovely http://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/bass/standard-bass/dimarzio-model-j It's wearing a new set of GHS Boomers which are coated, they were on my other Jazz Bass for a few hours and then went straight on to this one. Collection only please. I'm in Harrow. PLEASE CLICK ON THE PICTURE BELOW TO BE LINKED TO MORE
 3. It's official, Chris has flown over the cuckoos nest. Two gorgeous basses you're selling there mate, I absolutely love my Modulus Flea and having had the 55 in my hands many a time I can vouch for the sheer top quality of it. If you're losing these two stunners then I can't wait to see the one that's coming
 4.
Not applicable to Custom Shop though, surely....? altho I wonder how different they are to the Deluxe type range below... as they seem to use quite a few similar/same parts..?? I would guess the price difference to be around £1400 and where does that go... fretboard upgrade..?? paint job..?? hmmmmm...!!!
I've often wondered that myself, the quartersawn neck is the only real obvious upgrade, if you like that kind of neck that is as some find the tension too tight. But even a QS neck doesn't cost THAT much extra. Of course the relicing does set you back too on those models. On another point, I bought a new USA Std Jazz Bass yesterday. Those that know me know that I usually buy CS or vintage, but I found one that stood out to me above the others and it's the perfect workhorse, which is all I need it for really. I'm not particularly into reissues either so this bass made sense. And yes, the QC is excellent and I can't fault it at all. It only needed very minor truss rod and string height adjustments and the nut is cut very well.
 5. If this was around the corner I'd be snapping this one up. Surprised it's still here. GLWTS
 6. Just caught up on this thread, here's some more Flea using Fenders action for you with Atoms For Peace, nice to see him on a P Bass again too... http://youtu.be/9CjzVdZcnh0
 7. I've had some great trade offers, but nothing that I need just yet. Please note that I definitely don't need an amp trade. Once again, sorry I can't post this one at the moment, I could have sold it 3 times over if I could post. Thanks.
 8.
I just paid the deposit and ordered one through Bass Direct this evening.
Well that just bought up a feeling of ultra GAS that I haven't had in quite some time, good move pal
 9.
Going to stick with the filter first Si, just questioning the science. I've got a octaver on the way too, After the compressor I think?
Yup, that's how I like it
 10. I've found that some older filters prefer a compressed signal to keep them smoother. But generally I prefer filter first and do that with my modern ones.
 11. I bought a Pedaltrain Nano from Dan, friendly and all good. Plus, there was absolutely nothing satanistic about the deal... I think...
 12. Probably sound better on the BTB1206 I'm selling as it has a 35 inch scale. Me, plugging? Never...
 13.
OMG!! Your beginnings must have been "interesting". I was reading on another forum a thread where some guy was talking with envy about how great it must have been "back in the day" when you had to save for weeks to buy a record and having to struggle to find it on sale. He really has no idea.
That'd just be far too patient for today's culture My first bass was a cheap Rockwood, good for that time, but no mojo like yours.
 14. Your first bass is way cooler than my first bass, have fun with it
 15.
Beautiful! What do the knobs do?
Cheers Cosmo, they are treble and bass passive tone controls.
 16.
Hi. I live in Lincolnshire, but if you find a way to courier it, I will be up for the sale. Regards, Paddy.
Thanks Paddy, really sorry that I'm not able to sort this out at the moment
 17. Grolsh style ones are great....until they start wearing out, which very nearly ruined a lovely bass of mine. Then again, maybe the size of the vintage strap button was to blame as I was often removing the strap? Either way, 'proper' locks for me these days. Edit - and very necessary IMO
 18.
You could always get a fretless neck to suit, then if you're still not happy with it, sell the lot as a set. Seen it done that way before.
True, would definitely work well for some, but I'd prefer to avoid the hassle of bitsers tbh
 19.
I pass through Harrow on my travels and also meander through much of the South of this island for work. So if anyone is interested and want it collected and delivered, feel free to let me know. I can also do a "cash on collection" and get the money to our bro, Chilliwailer, if you're worried about such things.
Sincerest of thanks brother, I really am quite taken back by that incredible offer. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to post at the moment so your generosity is very humbly appreciated. Top man
 20.
That is a really good price. I just sold one elsewhere and got 50 quid more than what you are asking.Had plenty of interest in it too. The passive ones don't seem to be seen as much either. lovely bass..... GLWTS!
Cheers pal, it almost seems silly selling it considering what you get for the price. But then again I have a SR5 and Modulus Flea so it's kinda covered anyway, I'm basically just scared of ripping out the frets and then changing my mind!
