7.
What is the neck profile and width at the nut and 12th?
Hello mate, the nut is 43 MM. and the 12 fret about 55mm. The neck is a V shape, with a nice full shape to it, feels very authentic. Cheers.

 9.
That's one of the few basses I've seen on here recently that I would jump at if I had the money, what an absolutely incredible instrument at an equally incredible price. The last all original 57 I saw was on sale for £15,000. Good luck Dan, I doubt you're happy to be selling it? Chris
Hey Chris, cheers for the comments pal. You're spot on, I'm not happy at all about listing this one. But then am I ever?! I've previously listed my Modulus and one of Mike Lull's and then opted to keep them so I may just come to my senses again, I mean how often do you get to own and regularly play a bass like this? Wow, £15k is crazy! I'm with you though, nothing has stood out for me in ages too. Makes selling this even crazier I guess.
 10. Up for sale is a stunning limited edition Custom Shop 1955 P Bass, made in September 2015 and in pristine condition with only the relicing that Fender intended. It has a resonant and light ash body and a great tensioned quartersawn neck, tons of vibe and mojo on this bass. Comes with the original blonde case and case candy shown. Weighs a tiny touch over 8.5lbs with the covers on. No trades by post please. A Mike Lull P54 or possibly a Lull 5 string would be on the top of my trade list. Info from the Fender website: MORE ABOUT LIMITED EDITION 1955 RELIC® PRECISION BASS® The 2015 Limited Edition 1955 Relic® Precision Bass gives you a magnificently crafted original-era version of the bass that started it all. Its lightweight ash body is sculpted with comfortable body and forearm contours, and comes in Dirty White Blonde or Two-Color Sunburst lacquer Relic body finishes that evoke the wear and aging of decades of frequent use (and occasional abuse). Its muscular blunt-force tone comes from a hand-wound '55 Precision Bass single-coil pickup with a classic chrome cover. Other premium features include a quartersawn maple neck with a worn Relic treatment on the back, 7.25"-radius maple fingerboard with 20 vintage-style frets, single-ply seven-hole white pickguard, authentic reproduction bridge with chrome cover, American Vintage tuning machines and Custom Shop Limited Edition neck plate. Includes blonde Limited Edition case containing a 1955 Fender Downbeat catalog insert reproduction. CLICK ON THE PICTURE TO BE TAKEN TO LOADS MORE. 11. Now £5800....o.n.o..... ...which is an incredible price for an original 50's Fender. The word 'investment' is too commonly used these days on lesser examples, but this bass at this price is the real deal. If it doesn't go in the next week or two on BC I'll take it to a dealer for a commission sale. Feel free to PM for a chat. This is a stunning bass every way you look at it. A real piece of proper rock n roll history and pedigree and it sounds exceptional. It's an original 1957 P Bass, one of the last before Fender moved over to the 'new' style P Bass. Apart from new pots and cap it's all original, finish included. I doubt the covers are original too, it's impossible to prove and they are clean. This bass is very well documented on Andy Baxter's website and comes with a 2013 sales receipt for £8000 from New Kings Road Vintage Guitars, as well as pictures and a complement slip with details about the bass which was sent from NKR when they first sold it many many years back for a mere £2900. Please email me for more details about all this if interested. Link to Andy's website http://andybaxterbas...ails.php?id=774 Andy was selling this for £7250 which was a great price, but cutting out the middle man this is available for a cool £5800 o.n.o. No trades by post please, in fact I can't imagine doing a trade but it's worth PM'ing me just in case. Cheers. PLEASE CLICK ON THE PICTURE BELOW TO BE LINKED TO MANY MORE. 12. Quote Only Fender made the REAL Precision, but that was only until end of 1964. Everything else is a copy, CBS or FMIC NOW FIXED
 13. Not really a fair fight IMO given that the Hoppus has a Quarter Pounder pickup with bigger poles and output. Still must have been a cool comparison experience though.
 14. Bassbiscuits is spot on, these pedals are deceptively good considering the size and price
 15.
Is this any good for bass, or is it designed for guitar?
Designed for guitar mate. I tried it on bass once, I wasn't that impressed as it was quite muddy and I prefer cleaner overdrives, if that makes sense!
 16.
My profile picture shows me in Denmark Street playing a 66 P Bass. It is WITHOUT doubt the single best instrument I've EVER played. The feel was perfect, and the sound was bliss.
Right you are, that bass used to be mine. I've had a fair number of pre CBS P's and 3 other 1966's, that one was equal best for me with a lovely 1964. The others we're pretty average to be honest, though heavy in vintage vibe which was cool. IMO and experience any P from any era can be amazing and 'the one' if it suits you.
 17.
A moment of weakness! I'm over it now..... Now I just need to find a sparkly purple flea bass 🙂
Ta da! 18.
I think you're right, dodgy decal with dodgy placement means dodgy bass! Thanks
....but it hasn't got a graphite neck Chris, what are you thinking?
