1. Pics of Jabba Classic 5s maybe then. And if I see any free basses lying around I'll remember you iceonaboy.
2.
Are they good for metal? Seriously though, wouldn't mind a closer look at their custom shop.
I'll see what I can do.
3.
So I have been keeping on top of my Mayones gas for a good while now then Yolanda joins the forum (Mayones endorsee) and now this, you are killing me Plenty of pics please mainly Jabba 5 classic for me, ta muchly
Yeah, I know. I am fighting GAS too. But thought I really should see/handle them for real before buying. So I thought I would take one for the team and go there.
4. I am going to visit Mayones Guitars & Basses in Gdansk, Poland, next week. I am planning to do a photoblog about the visit to their workshop and showroom. I have no affiliation with them, just a curious bass player. What would you want to know about their basses and their bass workshop? http://www.mayones.com/en/dokumenty/basses
5. I personally don't think you have to worry. Your amp is rated for 500w, running it at 300w isn't going to overload it. If you feel you need more power/sound, try first plugging in a second 8 ohm speaker like hamfist says. Do you have the 112 still? If that is a 8 ohm speaker, then try to have both plugged in first and see what that sounds like.
6. Nice basses!
7. Thanks Johannes!
8. I have one and I love it. What preamp do you use for your in ear monitoring, to get Mesa like sound?
9. How do they sound with a band mix though, used when recording for example?
10. It's gorgeous!
11. Interesting Sansamp (dare I say) clone, by Tech 21 using real tubes. The price is a bit ouch though. But I suppose it is a limited edition and all. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tech-21-Private-Stock-Formula-21-Vacuum-Tube-Bass-PreAmp-/171043713841
12.
Had an MC 800, but sold it a couple of years ago. Yours is nice!!
Thanks. The secret to mine looking nice is probably that it as been hiding in a case for 25 years. Now it is out and rocking again.
13. It is from 1978. I just put Earnie Ball Cobalt strings on it and it is like new. I think you guys are going to like it when they release them. 400 w of nice (blue) shining tube power. This was a prototype.
15. More Ibanez pictures from me. In te second picture, a Teisco snuck in, but at least it is Made in Japan. Oh, and the RB-960 isn't that short, it is leaning backwards. 16. Hmm. That was weird. I must have been drunk!
17. The first bass I bought, new, and still own. A lovely MC-800.
18.
Welcome to the forum. I really like Stockholm, and have worked there a couple of times (at the Karolinska sjukhuset) and was very happy walking back to my hotel late at night in January. Sometime I must take the wife over.
(Kick the bass) Late night (mix), in January. Pitchblack (tuner) and cold (play). You must be a bassist!
19.
I always, without exception, get lost driving through Stockholm. All those tunnels and microscopic direction signs! Hope you have more luck than I ever have finding your way around.
Yes, and they are rebuilding a lot of the fiddly bits at the moment, so it is a royal mess right now. Worse than ever.
20. My Aussie accent isn't so good, but my Norwegian is decent.
21. Greetings! So I am a former Londoner, from Earl's Court in fact, that have moved (back) to Stockholm, Sweden. I gave in earlier in the year and relapsed. I started playing bass again, which I haven't done for several decades. And boy am I having fun! Managed to wiggle my way into a hardrock band recently too. There is a real dearth of bass players in Stockholm apparently. Otherwise I wouldn't have made it. Anyway, having fun and have acquired way too much new gear in a few months only. Hanging out at Basschat and the Swedish equivalent produces a monumental GAS. Trying not to buy anything more now. Well, except for that bass I wanted...
