  1. Don’t get me wrong I know pickups will sound slightly different especially if heard solo’d and trying to analyse the tiniest of variation but in reality, behind a band, probably barely noticeable. A fretless jazz bass is a close approximation. Add epoxy to the board and you’re pretty much there. Wasn’t a fair part of the Jaco sound down to his back line too? If it’s all for sh*ts and giggles what does any of this matter 😄
  2. How much difference can there really be in a pair of single coil jazz pickups? The provenance and origins of which make the “USP” and marketing for a more expensive than normal set of pickups. Truth is Jaco would sound like Jaco whatever he played, very few others will. Would anyone else notice?
  3. Is the body standard sized @molan? Just a shorter neck? Great dark fretboard, almost black!
  4. No doubt a talented player and social media click bait artist. Can’t stand it.
  5. I’d definitely be looking for an older version. The cost of new Warwicks, especially custom shops is horrific! They do pop up frequently even mid-late 80s models.
  6. Can’t go wrong with a Yamaha TRB. GLWTS
  7. That looks barely used! ........ And know I’ve read the ad I understand it’s condition. Very nice find!
  8. Congrats on your purchase! Nice looking basses. Give the bass a check over regarding the low B string. Make sure it’s seated correctly in the nut and bridge saddle. Maybe try rewinding it. Check the pickup height too. Hopefully it isn’t an issue with the bass itself.
  9. If I remember @Henrythe8 had a custom from Stradi.
  10. Hmmmmm I’ve seen a few posts from the creator and couldn’t quite see what was being improved.
  11. That would have been a good price. Good luck in your search.
  12. You’d have to really try to damage a hardcase ?
  13. Who does insure ?
  14. I’ve been watching these on the auction site lately. Nice spec. How is it?
  15. Early Trb P’s are for sale generally £1000-1500 range. Great basses tonally and build quality. Nothing wrong with the later TRBX’s either but are more of a budget bass than the older Japanese models. Assuming the neck repair is all good with no issues, snap it up if you can.
  16. Thought I recognised the JINO name and pickup config from somewhere. He has or had a signature range with Atelier Z. Nice looking basses. http://www.atelierz.co.jp/musician_model/jino.html
  17. Ridiculous price for one of these!
  18. For once none. Don’t miss any of them. I can’t say the same for the ones I will be selling this year......
  19. Isn’t Ebay great 😂🙄 Have you tried Reverb? Seen a few Affirmas for sale on there and yours is much better priced. The streamer I have up for sale is approx a fifth of its new retail price!
  20. Welcome!
