Somebody recently had their order completed over on one of the fb Wal groups. Very similar looking to this one, for a second I thought it was this one. -

I have a bit of a phobia of shiny immaculate basses. I just don’t enjoy them as much as ones that have had a life and some character. There is a connection to not wanting to ding them but also not a big fan of hard glossy finishes. I prefer worn paint or natural finishes whether oiled or waxed.

The website shows it’s suitable for 4, 5, and 6 string and it’s the same pickup for all, not different shells (theres no options for number of strings on the purchase page) How would that work out on a 4 string? Some strings would be over the coils of both pickups shells. Interesting.

I saw these when they released a while back and didn’t take much notice, just another take on a P bass, but recently they’ve really grown on me. Something about the simplicity and the shape just works. Were they a limited run? Don’t see too many about now.

I have played lying down if that counts. It was during a drum solo, and the first floor window onto a patio roof of the pub was the only escape, so I feel it was justified.
