    I much prefer that earlier model. The stradi is a bit too much for me. Fair enough it's a nod to traditional string instruments, and i guess the oversize top bout is chambered and adds rigidity to the neck. No doubt it's skilfully built. Then again I'll probably like it tomorrow

    ETS do a piezo although it may only fit their own headless bridge system. I'll be following this thread as I've had similar intentions bubbling away.

    Manchester Bass Lounge opened a few years ago and very nice it was too. It was more of a viewing by appointment type place as opposed to a full on shop. It's since changed to the Great British Bass Lounge, but I understand it's closing or being sold as a going concern. Always very helpful friendly and accommodating, had quite a broad range of bass gear last time I was there.

    I really like that. Had a look at their (corona) website. Mainly guitars. They make or made a jazz type bass but nothing out of the ordinary. Some great looking headless guitars though if that's your thing. http://www.coronaguitar.com/index.php/product-category/corona/bass/

    Is the fingerboard carbon? I believe Status have done it on their own basses. Usually a wood fillet is inserted where the fret would be. I don't think that would work on a composite board though?
