  1. Still mulling over getting another 6er, it's been many years since the last failed attempt at one, I just couldn't get comfortable with it and the temptation to go back to "easy" 5s and 4s was too much.
  2. For total ott-ness Google an Atlansia Pegasus 6 string bass. Fitted with 3 individual pickups per string, yes 18 pickups! All switchable and even the pickups were adjustable by turning the pickup itself.
  3. They all sound like a P to me, the 3 rd strung with flats. If pushed I'd go for the 1st as my preference. It just shows, P basses sound alike but not exactly the same.
  4. A few exotic manufacturers spring to mind: Basslab
  5. I would say it's much more upright like than fretless bass, with the added bonus of no feedback due to the installed pickup. It's a shame as I frequently travel to and from South Wales ! However the Babybass is now sold.
  6. Bump. Collection or possible delivery depending on location. I am willing to travel to meet up too.

  9. Glad it worked out. Looks really good.
  10. Oh man! You really should start renting
  11. Is that 10 WAL's there?!
  12. Haha fail, it's not neck thru either!
  13. Is a Modulus Flea 35"?
  14. Fantastic job. Well done!
  15. I have only tried my own Wal so I cant compare it but I'd be surprised if the facing had much influence on the tone. Plus, it's all in the fingers
  16. I guess the assumption being if it was a bad one it would be returned to the retailer.....
  17. Would love an Atlansia, but all that design and individuality comes at a mighty price. Here's another not so common brand, I'd never seen or heard of it until I randomly saw it on The Bass Gallery site. Normandy Archtop Bass - Aluminium body. http://thebassgallery.com/index.php/bass/archtop-bass.html
  18. I seem to recall there was a "triangular scam" victim that posted on here a while back. I think it was a gumtree or ebay transaction.
  19. I don't think mine would adjust to 16
  20. Warmoth do these. http://www.warmoth.com/Pickguard/PBassPickguard.aspx
  21. Someone's going to ask, so it may as well be me. What does it weigh ?
  22. The bass chat mantra. I really don't need another ........

  24. What a gent Graeme is. He responded to my wanted ad with exactly what I was looking for. He wouldn't take money for it, or for postage. Thanks again Graeme, package arrived late yesterday. An excellent BCer and a pleasure to deal with!
