I can't do it. Players that I listened to growing up and pulled me from guitar to bass Mick Karn Mark King Pino Palladino Paul McCartney Then there's those I heard and been blown away by Flea Doug Wimbush Jaco Stanley Clarke Les Claypool Robert Trujillo Billy Gould And the more I listened to and sought out other players , musical tastes broadened and became more aware of other fantastic players. I simply can't pin it down to five.

I bought an expensive bass from a german gumtree type site. No feedback/rep system. After several emails back and forth we agreed a deal. The seller insisted on sending the bass, and waiting for me to check it over and was happy with it before sending payment to him. The end. Incredible in this day and age. I hope the OP gets this resolved.

Chris recently bought an amp from me. Excellent deal from start to finish, thoroughly good comms. No issues whatsoever, except it would've been nice if the pub we chose to meet at was open Great fella, deal with in total confidence folks.

Measure what you have against a replacement, don't forget string spacings. That's a really nice looking Warwick! Is the pickup definately faulty ? Can you swap the front and rear to check its the pickup ?

It would be worthwhile posting a thread in the warwick forum if you haven't already.

Only my point of view but at a guess anything new from Warwick is going to be mighty expensive. I'd be looking to replace it with something else, non MEC. Keep an eye on the "other" for sale forum here you often see used pre amps for sale.

Sorry another off topic point here also about status strings- not half rounds in this case, but I had a set of rounds replaced 3 times due to a dead e string. Perseverance was required for the replacements!
