If it works with the bare wires into the battery terminals it must be the connector that's causing the problem. Maybe the battery had leaked and damaged the connections or caused a short in it. Or like you say the wires have somehow been stretched and something isn't making proper contact. I agree it's incredibly frustrating when you've been waiting for something to turn up and it's got issues. Hopefully a new connector will sort it and it's cheaper than return courier fees.

Stingray. Always fancied one. Got one. Surprisingly disappointing. At the same time I picked a U.S. Sub, it blew the Stingray away. The Sub was well worn and had been played a lot, whereas the Stingray was almost mint, it played fine but just didn't have "it". Status Streamline was another. It wasn't the marmite body shape as I quite like it. I can't pinpoint what it was but I just didn't get on with it. It didn't sound or feel right to me. Reading the above comments, I'm wondering now about a Ric, I'd never wanted one or saw the appeal. That is until the last 12 months when I've listened more to them, unintentionally to start with when I found out a band I really was blown by used Rics almost exclusively. Now I've made an effort to listen to them and like them quite a lot. Still don't like how they look though.

Any suggestions folks? Looking into buying some headless bits - tuner/ bridge headpiece. There doesn't seem to be a huge choice ABM, ETS and Hipshot. Any other recommendations? Good suppliers? Bass parts or Thomann are current contenders.

I just did a quick search for looptastic and the ITunes store shows this as not being available from the UK site but it is on the US store and to change to that ITunes Store. If that's any help?
