If you were making a bass from scratch around a finished neck is either more difficult?

I've emailed Thomann a few days ago but not heard anything so thought I would ask here as I believe a few have ended up with bass chatters. I'm trying to find out a few things. The weight? Bridge spacing Pickup dimensions If anyone has one and can help I'd appreciate it. Feel free to add any real life info too. Thanks in advance

[/quote] PJB and Markbass it is then! However I can bide my time, it never takes long. I know for me it is a psychological thing. I've bought basses on the net, and in the time it took for it to be delivered, lost all interest in said bass and simultaneously developed GAS for something else. A bit like a cat and its prey I suppose, once it's mine the interest fizzles away.

So potentially what would cause you GAS? Should we just send you the links to nice P basses and save you some time

Sounds like the output of the FNA is higher. I don't know maybe there's an adjustment pot on the pre amp to turn it down? Or is it 9v powered? When the battery has been low on my warwick it starts to distort. Time to replace it?

Yeah Steve Bailey was an endorser, back in his spandex yoga pant days but that's another story. There were 4/5/6 version neck through (C)ustom with fancy tops (their description) and the standard version which was a bolt on and alder body.

Just use beeswax. Olive oil can go 'off' Fine mineral oil is better

I've read the pre amp eats batteries? Did you find this? They look really well made, an alternative to the Yamaha trb 6. Just wish I could find one!

There are 3 different current Aliens: Rockbass standard Rockbass delux Alien All are now made in China. All laminated. All same piezo and preamp. For the difference in price, although I haven't played any I would probably keep my money and get the cheapest.

Surely not an unplayed bass amongst bass chattererers's? I didn't think it was possible?
